Indiscretions leaking from England now say that two additional high level McLaren employees, close to Ron Dennis, are implicated in the Couglan Affidavit: Paddy Lowe and Martin Whitmarsh.

Please note that the newspaper states that these are whispers and by no means are established facts.

The answer would be NO. For God sake man the two of you will stretch anything to the limit just to make Mclaren look inocent. Besides Ferrari is not accusing Mclaren of sabotaging their cars. That was an internal matter and is being delt with. Its the documents that Coughlan(Mclaren) had in possesion that breaks the sporting code.

PS Please update your profile and register your car on the registery found in the 355 section. I like the pics there.

well they asked the Germans on Autosport and 70% didn't believe them either, but sure, if you go to Woking and take a poll the outcome "may" be different :D

I was refering to the number of people HERE that have one OPINION, not stating facts, OPINION.

Sheesh Nick, I thought WE weren't taking this seriously ;)

Damn, I left my aluminium hat off this morning so now the aliens will find me

I love that - "Indiscretions" - Kind of like the "indiscretions" in the Barry Bonds "issue" [Leaked grand jury testimony - serious **** :) ]

Anyway, lets assume that Paddy, Martin and Jonathan had all been told - Be it by accident or design, they all knew that they all knew - And being smart guys I can see them huddling in a conf room somewhere and saying:

"We better not let the boss/RD/Lucifer-himself know about this"
"If he finds out, our balls are toast!"
"Just make sure Coughlan destroys the damn things or we're all going to hell."

And Ron, once again, comes up clean......

    As always, just my 02c,
    Cheers,
    Ian

How does that have anyting to do with McLaren?!?

The question refers to the regulation saying that a team is responsible for the actions of all its employees. We are discussing Stepney and Ferrari. Where do you see McLaren in that question?

Why don't you go find a cat stuck in a tree somewhere and make yourself useful?

Well, before risking life and limb (and our collective reputations), might it not be better to leave a few bread crumbs on the ground and just let the cat climb down on it's own?

Seems to me that cat is not the only one out on a limb...

But time, and the all-fair FAI, will of course decide.

Sure, lets ignore the fact that you have no rebuttal and change the subject to something else.

best post so far....... I also believe that if Ron Dennis knew he would have sht*t canned all 3 of them on the spot. either way I still believe that both teams should be punished as they are both responsible for their member's actions...

    Thx for the compliment!

However, I do hope you've got your flame suit on - Even suggesting Ferrari should be punished around here is like saying the holocaust never happened! :D

However, given what we think we know, I don't see how Ferrari can be held responsible for the actions of one apparently lunatic employee.

    Cheers,
    Ian

    Rebuttal to what?

My issue, at that moment, was with your incessant juvenile comments.

It's amazing how he still sees every post, as soon as it goes up, when I'm on his ignore list.

Makes me think, he lies about a lot of things.

Neither do I. Nor do I see how McLaren could be responsible if in fact their statement rebutting Coughlan's affadavit is proven true.

Of course making a statement like this brings all the loonies out of the woodwork... :D

    eh.
ive not said McLaren are inncocent, just that WE DONT KNOW

and the copying and passing on of said docs by Stepney (Scuderia Ferrari) also breaks that code.

do you not get it ?
if Mclaren are responsible for the actions of their staff member Coughlin, then by the same standards so are SF responsible for their staff member Stepneys actions.

If there's any validity to an article I read, there's suppose to be more names pinned within Ferrari. It's conceivable that both teams could end up on the short end of the stick before this is all over.

Moretti: your comment was priceless on another thread but I must correct your error - my position in the castle is that of a Queen, for obvious reasons not that of a king. Your majesty will suffice thank you.
