    If you fit Challenge gearbox mounts to a regular 5.2 car, do you need these spacers?

    I'm thinking of updating my engine mounts, but not sure what the effect of fitting Challenge mounts will be like (I assume they are stronger, but are they noticeably firmer to the detriment of comfort, noise and vibration)?

    Ian - I can make all sorts of guesses, based on the use of the normal road-car engine & transmission mounts (shared in the 456/550) when applied to the Challenge cars, but I simply don't know.

    Yes you do. Or, I did need a spacer, the one that came with the 5.2 version.
