The designated NAIAS 2007 Thread

Alright I havent seen any pics posted on here so I will start it off.
Heres my gallery, if you want any more pics in higher res just let me know, and this set is no where near all of them so feel free to ask if i have more of a specific car.

On a side note, I was kind of disapointed in the ferrari stand, I mean no F430 (except gt car) no FXX, only the 599.

 

F430 is old news by now, the FXXs are all owned by private owners, which leaves the brand new 599 and the 612 with the GTC package. There's not much else they could've shown that hasn't been on the autoshow circuit before. I'm just disappointed they won't have an open bar like they did at Geneva .

 

I know it just seems like the kind of threw this together at the last minute. I mean that there was nothing there that really made you go, AWSOME!!!! and then later want to go back and see it again.

 

I couldn't tell necessarily from the photos, but were you inside any of the booths?

Ferrari seems very strict on who they let in, in fact even on the owners site they had the spots limited to 50/day. When I was there last year I went with a good buddy of mine and we were both 21 at the time and I heard a couple of people asking how we got up there, to which the woman replied "they're owners." There was actually a couple in their mid-40s who tried to sneak in from the side and were promptly escorted out of the booth. We didn't even really try any other booth, but this year I am very lucky to have passes for most of them anyway (Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Maserati, Ferrari, Lamborghini..). I will post pics when I get back on Sunday!

I saw in your thread that people were getting mad you got on the Lambo stage. Same happened to me, Also some guy was there who lives in Canada and he wanted to buy the Black Gallardo but lamborghini's policy (as well as many other companies) is that you cant buy a car in the US and transport it to Canada yourself. Well when the guy found out he went off the deep end and just was LIVID!! I couldnt help but grin and try not to laugh. O yeah and when were you there?

But has no one else gone to the show? I mean I thought there would be about 50 pics by now!

haha, We hung around the Lamborghini booth each day quite a while, and of course... for the models...

Getting e-mail addresses is probably even more common in the teen world than phone numbers. Amazingly enough, I have never used a number I've received, but there isn't a single email address left alone.

NAIAS looks like it was pretty cool this year. I didn't even get to go to SJ Auto Show this year.

And i did check it to make sure its real, her phone rang in the back. I still havent called her back and i honestly dont know if i will. Its just kind of a confidence booster type deal for me.
