Got inspiration from a guy at F1fanatic.co.uk and decided to make these two pictures.

The cars are properly scaled, leveled out to get a very clear image of how the cars look in profile.

And this one shows the difference in wheelbase, measured from wheelnut to wheelnut:

How do i get the pictures to show in thread? I have used img tags.

Never thought you had to attach the images.

A guy decided to do his best to count the wheelbases based on my picture.
He got the real wheelbase of the Force India, and then figured out how long each car really is.

From Mclaren the longest to Williams the second longest there´s a difference of a insanely 20cm according to his calculations.

Very interesting, wow. Thanks for the Information. The Red Bull and Ferrari Chassis, seem very similar as well.

It´s just that we have a slight problem i found out.

Williams claim their wheelbase is 3300mm. Compare that to what the guy managed to calculate.

We know the pics are slightly off but 50cm is ALOT.

I´m suspecting Williams are luying about their numbers but i´ll have to do some more investigation to see what´s right and what´s wrong.

I knew W02 was definitely the widest. It's definitely going to take the cake as far as oversteery cars with a somewhat loose back end is concerned. Sort of the Lancia Stratos of the group.

The Mclaren is clearly built for Jensen IMO. Narrow, long. Hammy like to toss his ride into the corner. Maybe all the extra 'clean' air hitting the back end will actually help his style.

If all the cars were identically quick, the Mclaren nose is definitely worth that .002 they would need to nose ahead of the rest

Length usually helps with aero as well, think Enzo vs MC12.

There was some problems with the Mclaren and other cars. I never took the front wheel size into consideration when i did this so i updated the picture and as you can see below, the Mclaren isn´t THAT long ;)

Shame, because it would have been fun to see Hamilton do a three point turn at Loews hairpin everytime he approached it :p
