Why do i like Kimi so much? I think this article from Autosport puts into perspective in a clear, professional way, why Kimi has captivated people since he first drove for Sauber.

I know! I can't go back and edit it now. It was a chore reading it, but it was worth it!

I seriously can't WAIT for the season to start. imagine how many passes can be done now, especially since the corner entry is the biggest issue without traction control/engine braking control. Everyone just assumed the exit would be hectic. Oh man oh man!

+1000! Kimi is the man! I gave a little input on my feelings about Kimi's abilities earlier today in the "Massa Intends to Bid for 2008 WDC" thread.

Thanks for the article. I believe Ted referred to this recently concerning Massa's driving inadequacies. I sure hope Massa can come to grips (pun intended) with driving without the aids. We need his help with WCC points. I believe this season is going to be quite exciting to say the least! I can't wait!!

i think we're going to see more action going into corners this year. should be fun seeing cars run wide, lock up, etc...especially with another driver breathing down their neck! bring it on!

Not quite: It was only referred to in a quote within another thread. It wasn't made its own thread.

Should be really interesting in the wet. ;)

Massa struggles in the wet with the toys. Without them he will have his hands full IMVHO.

Kimi and Webber the most impressive in un-aided cars. Anyone surprised?? I'm sure not. Fernando won't be far behind I don't think.

Kimi, Jenson, Fernando, Webber and Hamilton are the five most impressive drivers on the grid to my mind.

Ted, and Andreas, my misguided children, because at the end of the day, pre-season testing, practice where ever, is meaningless. Didn't see this article, otherwise I would have posted it. Steal the ariticle Andreas? I just pass on the info that most everyone here seems to want to know. Not only that, I always give credit to Autosport in my posts as they are the definitive source of racing info. This article too is meaningless, no different than articles by others that some of you discredit because they do not coincide with your myopic opinions. I post articles just to give everyone here the info, I usually do not even read them.

I just read the entire interview I posted with Briatore today, now that was interesting.

All that matters is the last lap of each race. As yellowbird said, unless his own team screws him AGAIN, I believe Massa will be WDC in 2008. If you do not recognize Massa's contribution in 2007, you were not watching the race. He saved Ferrari ass the first half of the season.

I am glad that Massa threads get so much attention, really funny, but thankfully, the 1970-1989 photo thread I posted is geting more hits. I only wish I was working the pits again so I could get Massa's photo and autograph. In 2006, in Indy, he walked out of the Westin with a friend, I actually accidently bumped into him, and none of 50+ people in the lobby waiting for Michael recognized Massa. I regret not getting his autograph then, because as you have noticed I do not do the lemming thing as most of you, and I therefore follow my own intuition.

    Massa, WDC 2008.

Ron, it wasn't the team that did Massa in, it was himself. This year the excuses have to stop. Agreed?

What race series were you watching? Massa saved Ferrari's ass the first half of 2007, and if were not for his own team's mistakes, probabaly would have been in the fight in Brazil.

Not at all. What series were YOU watching?

Massa's team made the mistakes. No fuel during qualifying, no pit communication during red lights as Todt admitted. He tried to pass Hamilton, at the instruction of Todt(!), when the Ferrari was not capable of such a maneuver. Todt admitted the car sucked and Massa had to just run laps at Monaco, after the team messed up and force Massa to start last.

Name one situation where Massa did himself in? Unlike Kimi, he did not stuff a car into a wall. Even Alonso destroyed a car. I thought two time WDC's know how to drive in the rain.

And with all the #2 drivers that were available, Ferrari extends Massa's contract?

Massa did his job quite well. He made no excuses, neither did the team, they admitted the made mistakes. Otherwise, they would have clearly made Kimi #1 for 2008.

    They didn't.

A little off topic, but the only person last year to REALLY DESTROY a car was Kubica. :D
