I know it's not a Ferrari... No introduction needed for this car I guess.....it won the Le Mans 2003, driven by Rinaldo (Dindo) Capello, Guy Smith and the Danish Le Mans Legend Tom Kristensen who took his fifth Le Mans win that year! It was only the second time that Tom was driving the le Mans 24 hour's in a car bearing the number seven (Tom's lucky number), The first time was in 1997 when he debuted at Le Mans by taking overall victory together with Stefan Johanson and Michele Alboreto in the number seven Team Joest TVR Porsche! This car the Bentley Speed 8 is one of the most beautiful cars to have won the Le Mans ever IMHO, and definately the most beautiful coupé in recent years! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks Carbon and Erik, @Erik, You are right, the car is still as dirty as when it left France, and in the tradition of my other Le Mans drawings it will be made "race style dirty" Best Carsten
.......................... no words can be used to describe your talent carsten....... Stunning even at this early stage. Waiting patiently again by my computer........
Thanks a lot Erik.....maybe a little later in the process! BTW: Do you know of a "Koester's Motorboghandel"/Bookstore in Randers, Denmark??? Best regards Carsten
Thanks a lot, But progress will be a little slow on this drawing, since I have also another drawing in the beginning stages, so I'm working simultaniously on both!!! Another new thread will be started one of the coming days with that other drawing!!!
Oh man, probably my favorite race car of all time. Looking forward to progress... I love the car's black wheels...love them.
Even at the early stages that picture is way better then anything I could do even on my best day. Cant wait for the next stage of this picture and the other drawing you were talking about. Keep up the good work!
Hi Carsten and Tina Tom Kristensen entered the legend and it makes party of Bentley Boys, of course it is not same Bentley servant boys of the Twenties where Bentley ensured to them supremacy with Woolf Barnato, Henry Birkin and others... but with him only, it represents well this category of pilot and who knows if one day it will not drive Bugatti in Le Mans if Thomas Bscher decided to engage a Bugatti prototype in this mythical event that it affectione particularly. I like much Bentley speed 8, it is indeed one of most beautiful the sport car of these last years and your drawing and how to say... what to say??? Best regards Forza Ferrari and VLM
Thanks Christophe, I too am in the hope that Thomas Bscher decides to put Bugatti back in Le Mans as in 1937 and 1939 when Bugatti entered the famous "tanks" also known as Type 57S which won in 1937 with J.P Wimillle and Robert Benoist at the wheel, and again in 1939 with the Type 57G driven by J.P. Wimille and Veyron! I can not think of a single driver to take overall victory in Le Mans driving a modern Bugatti LM car other than Tom Kristensen!! Please Mons. Bscher....can we have a new Bugatti Le Mans entry?....PLEASE!!! Vive La Marque!!!! Best regards Carsten
Hi buddy, Yeah....I try my best Here is update 2..... We were at Tina's grandfather's 90th birthday today, so only small progress has been done! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Cheers Hank, ....I hope you have plenty of popcorn and plenty of drinks, cause this could take a while before finished......... perhaps you will need a nice soft pillow as well Warm regards Carsten After watching "The Race of Champions" on Eurosport this evening ( Tom Kristensen was beaten by Sebastian Loeb in the Finale .....BUT Tom K won the Nations cup together with Mathias Ekström in a shared Scandinavian Team Congrats Tom and Mathias!!!), there was nothing interesting to watch in the telly, so I spent a few more hours on the Bentley.....and on another new drawing, but that's a different story to be told..... perhaps tomorrow!!! Update 5 with some additions made! It's starting to shape up, and seen in real, some parts of the drawing already makes your eyes "feel" the round shapes.... like on the front fender to the left and the nose cone.....I'm really sad that I cannot show the effect better here, but it's really giving that weird 3 dimensional effect that is so difficult to explain, when you see it in real! It makes you wanna strike your hands over it to feel the shapes, and it's not even close to being finished yet....sorry, I know it's easy for me to say! Also Tom is starting to materialize in the cockpit, and the headlights has started to beam up....the effect from the headlights should improve further as the drawing gets a little darker It will be tons better still, I promise you!!! I really, REALLY love this car..... sigh!!! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Have a nice evening buddy!!! I'm working on another drawing right now!!! Something special.....should be okay to put it that way It was started last night, and nothing much has become of it yet, but okay guys... I'll start the new thread in a minute, and you can see for yourselves this somewhat different project that I'm working on....so far it looks pretty normal.....BUT
