I know this is well in advance, but let's start planning this one now, cause it's a biggie and we all need to be there... Almost one year ago (March 13, 2004), a motley crew of mostly-new Ferrari owners (me, emil, vik, sam, clyde, and a few others who i'm forgetting) got together for a leisurely early-morning drive around the EC...I believe, if I'm not mistaken, that we hit up CC in the AM them cruised up to Bear Mountain for lunch. The rest, as they say, is history...and what a year it's been. Let's celebrate the 1-year mark by doing something epic and in true EC style... Floor is open for ideas, and I nominate Vik to be the lead organizer for this since he's the MAN. But one thing should be for sure (weather permitting) -- Saturday March 12, 2005.

need a ferrari for a day? you can always go to www.gothamdreamcars.com and rent your ferrari, lamborghini, or bentley. and soon they'll have a porsche turbo cab and a ferrari spyder, too.
...and if there's no rain, salt, sand, dirt, dust, visible moisture, etc... Keith, please don't respond and hog the thread count if you have nothing concrete to say, or if you plan to be in and then out...
then just do 2 runs. whoever wants to do early riser in NJ, do that. whoever wants to do lazy riser in LI, do that.
Sounds like a fair idea but i think that would break up the EC Spirit maybe we should flip a coin and see where it happens.
No, there will absolutely not be 2 runs, because there are not two ECs. However, the idea of one longer run that involves both NJ and LI is a good one -- that way people can participate in the parts they want to. Maybe something that starts out early, heads into Jersey for the morning, we all pick a central place to eat brunch, we cruise LI in the afternoon, then the TRUE playas stay on for dinner, drinks, club, etc....
Ya know, I read this thread just as I drop my 308 off for major service at CC this morning. ETA: early March. Guys, we'll need a few runs down to CC end of February just to urge them along so I make this run! FYI The first run started at CC, up the Tpk....some iffy navigation at 80/95/9W intersection, up the palisades at unspeakable speeds, into bear mountain and lunch at that restraunt on the circle. We left one or two at CC, but I don't recall who. Someone driving their Porsche instead of the Ferrari and someone else. Worked the first time, maybe it's worth re-tripping!
