The End of Formula One???

Starting in 2010-12, the engines and transmissions of all the cars will be built by one company. This is to kept the cost down. So what will make the Ferrari a Ferrari? What will a McLaren ready be?

I think Bernie has lost it. Oh, well. There are no races in North America anyway.

Two old farts ruining the Sport, a spec series? Are they kidding, they should be controlling the amount of Aero, CFD, Etc. Instead of Engines...Jerks!!!!!!!!!!

 

Dont know much about A1 but wont F1 just be the same as that sport? How will it all work out i wonder, i mean what about the manufacturer's WC?

 

i've already made up my mind. if this really happens, i'll quit watching F1, and watch A1 GP. at least, the ticx are much more cheaper.

 

It may not matter as more and more countries and sponsores are going to pull out of F1 if the economy gets much worse. France looks like they are out next season.

 

You need to get your facts straight:

1. This is only a proposal and not a done deal.
2. The proposal came from Mad Max, not from Bernie.

It is only a red herring thrown up by Porno Max to get negotiation leverage with FOTA. It will never happen.

 

I would love for teams to tell Bernie and Max FU, and run in the LeMans sportscar series.

Let's not jump to conclusions yet, "Porno Max" (LOL) has made a lot of stupid proposals over the years which haven't passed.

 

F-Max, biggest idiot and now Bernie is supporting him as well.

Wasn't the proposal to have the Manufactures build to a certain spec (albeit a very exacting one)? So although the engine "blueprint" would be the same, each manufacturer would have to build their own.

 

The only thing I can think of why Bernie did a U turn, in supporting Max over his a$$ slapping antic's is:

Whilst it looked like it was damaging the image of F1, and upsetting the money men, he couldn't be seen to be supporting him, when it became clear he could squirm his way out, he realized he can make porno Max the whipping boy for handing out blatant penalty's to reel LH in and keep the WDC tight to the end, Max doesn't give a crap about nothing water off a ducks back, no matter what get's thrown at him, I detest him, Bernie however is one clever mother IMO.

That was a ruse in the porn scandal. Meanwhile Max has taken that back and said he will run again for office.
