Yes I will. I plan on getting there around 5:30 as well since Jim has mentioned multiple times it will be closed at some point. Peter Hatch
I can see it now. "Hey are you ... (user name)" "No I'm ..." I'm a lot younger than most would expect by how I look. Since I'm only fifteen I will be there with my dad and girlfriend. Only posting here because I thought you all may find my article interesting. Will be good to meet everyone. Peter Hatch
wish I could be there... a little something I've been working on, until more pics hit the street... (it's by no means done) Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not bad, especially by someone who doesn't even drive yet. And I agree, that a better way to look at it, would be to consider that it can belong everyone instead. Also, one small typo if found: "At first glace", should be glance?
Yes, it should be glance, thanks. Also, the main reason why I wouldn't write about how we all took part in the creation of it in an article is because not everyone who reads it will be part of this community. I agree that we have all played a significant role, just not everyone who will read this can say the same. Peter Hatch
Alright, this message is to anyone bringing a girl. What are they wearing to the event? I invited my girlfriend, but since it is going to be 'filled' she is nervous to wear a dress for some reason unknown to any male. If anyone knows what the setup is going to be on how the event will be played out ie. if there will be tables set up or if we will all be standing around please send me a message so I can get her some information. Sorry it's such short notice. Thank you. Peter Hatch
Don't know. There may be tables, but the way it sounds it will be standing room only. I'm wearing dress pants and a nice shirt (black pants/lighter blue shirt). If you see me, feel free to come up and say hello.
Will do Townshend. I'll be in a nice shirt/pants (white shirt, black pants and yes I know I'm not creative at all), so I won't be very noticable. Peter Hatch
Me neither! LOL! Who needs to be in Pebble Beach, when it's 104 degrees and dusty in Houston! ROTFLMAO! Besides I have to change the ANSA, this weekend.......
just got back a little while ago from the gooding tent. thanks jim! I was glad to bear witness to the cover being pulled off of your personal dream car
This was an incredible evening. I arrived very early, was able to get in along with one of the guys from the Ultimate Car Page. We watched as the Pininfarina crew made sure the car was spotless, even sweeping the stage all around the P 4/5. Huge crowd, David Gooding introduced Andrea Pininfarina, who then introduced James. Andrea's son along with James' son removed the cover to the amazement of the crowd. Absolutely wonderful. Will post photos when I get home.
Yeah chatting with Ron made the wait much better and the actual launch was very much worth it. The first shots of the launch can be found here: http://www.***************.com/frame.php?file=car.php&carnum=2830
heres some video ( and pics at the end). this was all taken on my crappy point and shoot camera, because i realized while at the event that the battery in my "good" camera was dead! oh well, see what you guys think. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8Q6ZPsJi9E
Yay!!! Shields on the car!! I thought they belonged there - it just didn't seem right without them. Thanks for the advanced photos/video everyone. >8^) ER
Alright, here are some photos and a video that I uploaded to the site. If anyone wants me to host their photos/videos PM me. Video: http://www.ferrarip45.com/p45rev.mov Pics: http://www.ferrarip45.com/concours Hopefully everything uploaded OK, as it was done via a shaky EVDO connection. If not, PM me and I'll re-up. I will also get more/better pictures of the car when it is not being swarmed by everyone Saturday and Sunday. Walter
Amazing event James. Me my girlfriend, dad and my friends who came all had an incredible time. Something else pretty unbelievable was that I was interviewed by some TV show on fox, "Destination X". Pretty neat, story later. I however, am off to upload all of my pictures and such. Your car is nothing short than every car fan's daydream. Peter Hatch
i attended the event tonight... and i was blown away. i was already in love with that masterpiece before i got there... but.. to see it in person. it was most impressive. what a night definatly worth the hundred thirty mile drive!!! it was such an awesome experience
