That's correct, it is the Chrysler Imperial concept car. I personally enjoy the fact that Jim's was also next to the Exelero, which I think is a bad a** design as well.
It was great meeting JIm and nice of him to invite everyone. the car looked amazing in person, nice speech and great detail on the car. Thank you again
Those are a homage to the greatest sports racing car of modern times. They are both running lights and turn signals. (Changing from white to yellow)
I will post a selection of the photos I took last weekend in the Showroom when I have finished going over everything
Jim- Thank you again for hosting such a great party, and for your gift to the automotive world. It was great meeting you, and the car is absolutely spectacular. -Doug
It was good talking to you Jim. You are missing out on the world's smallest car show tonight. I don't think I've ever seen a Ferrari there in the past three years I've been going, so it might not be exactly your style. Next time you are in town give me a call, and we can figure out a plan on something to do. Peter Hatch
Jim, what can I say that hasnt been said? thank you very much for your time and again amazing car. cheers eric
I was amazed to find the actual prototype for Jim's exhaust. Sometimes you find the most amazing things in ordinary locations like... well a Washington DC Metro bus. Note the incredible similarity in shape and function. I hope that some credit was given to Flexible Flyer for this shape. One should note that the FFMB5t (Flexible Flyer Metro Bus 5 ton) has an astounding 0-60 of 19.7 seconds and a wind tunnel cd that by coincidence matches that figure of 19.7. I believe in the engineering books equate this to driving a barn up 95. Both enviable measurements that I'm sure led Jim and the boys at Pinnafarina to copy this superior exhaustive technology. Further note that if you will not have the opportunity to get a ride in Jim's spectacular vehicle, one can be had in a technologically similar machine for a pittance buck 25 (or free if you have a pass from Metro) I guess that will be the closest I will get to the P4/5 experience will be by riding the N5 going up Wisconsin Avenue whilst reading my Car & Driver looking at Jim's pictures. Oh man, this rush hour ride is going to rock! I hope I get a seat, don't want to bend that mag up! ; ) warm regards Ken Visser Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Jean Todt and Michelle listen intently as James describes the P 4/5 design process. One of many luminaries that stopped by during the weekend to see this contribution to the world of art. Image Unavailable, Please Login
but I have now seen many videos and photos. IMO, it looks 1000% better than the "factory" Enzo or FXX.
this must be the 213,458th time somebody asks the same please JIM allow ALL die cast makers to make a rendition of YOUR car SO millions of people around the world can share the dream with you PLEASE.
Not at all. The Enzo is a celebration of Ferrari's return to F1 Dominance. I was looking to celebrate the great Ferrari Sports Racing cars of an earlier era. Ken was very supportive and as Jason's boss oversaw the whole design process.
...So there will be a 1:18 version of it? (that's the closest most pepole will ever get to your creation) say so
Yeah, I figured out Jim was home when I called this morning. I hope she makes her way back to the Bay Area someday. Jim, if you want to put some miles on her, I can think of no better way than bringing her back here, but this time, let her stretch her legs on the way. Peter Hatch
Awesome party. Incredible car. Great speech. Unbelievably generous access to the car (and access to the event itself). AND I was told by a friend who dined with you Thursday night that your family is amazing (and was especially impressed by your older son's utter lack of the pretension and attitude so commonly associated with privilege). You've given a lot to the car collector/driver/fan community with this new car. Class act, all the way. Cheers to you and your family.
