This modern 330-like 3D image made by a design student was shown at the last PininFarina "concept of the myth" design contest. Not too good but it shows it has been worked by a few people in the last few months.

BTW, correct URL is : http://www.luzzago.com

That was done by my classmate, Vincent Traina. He's a senior this year at the College for Creative Studies. And it is not a 3D Image...it's an actual model milled on a CNC machine out of foam.

    Jim,

I only know you from this site and I love your collection of cars. 0846 is my favorite since P4s are my favorite design of all time. I just stumbled across this thread and there went my early to bed idea.

I was debating whether to go to Concorso this year. And now, my decision is made. I hope to meet you in person come August 18th.

    This is just so COOL!!!

Quite honestly I simply feel extremely priviliged to read about this car, and read text written by it's creator...

I'm sorry, it might seem like I'm sucking up or something... but, if I only knew half about say, a 250 GT Drogo or the 375 MM Bergmann Coupe as I do about the future 612 P4/5...

My name is Carlos I'm 19 years old, entering Motorsport Engineering next year at City University, London. You are my Idol.

    Mmmm,

Firstly coachbuilding, i.e., "one-offs", is alive and well and I don't think it has ever died out. It is great to see someone with money and passion to do this, some of us are just missing the former :)

It has amused me to see the positive reactions to this thread without anything other than a few words to go on, remember a picture is worth a thousand words. I will look forward to August.

I also don't think that there is as much mystisim and ultimate engineering in car design as many people think, it is mainly evolution, but then of course that is just my opinion.

Good luck and enjoy the process,
    Clive
P.S. anyone want to give me a rolling chassis of any Ferrari?

Well, a number of us have had 5 pics since January, all of which are 3072 pixels wide and 2304 pixels high... so, that's at least 5,000 words each.

To whittle it down from 5,000, I'll summarize... I believe my initial reply to the gentleman 'Napolis was something like... "Finally, an Enzo truly worthy of the name."

    Clive,

You'll have to trust me when I say that this car is going to upset a lot of people who think the Enzo design was the best Ferrari can do,

Jim’s new car is absolutely gorgeous! A shame Ferrari don’t seem capable of allowing Pininfarina to do what it does best (Ferrari design by committee doesn’t work, especially when its done by US focus groups!)
