OK time has come and gone
    P 4/5 has been unveiled
we all have seen tons of pics of her at Pebble

but all pics look the same since she's just sitting in the same place next to EXELERO

any chance of sharing more pics of her?

    probably next to 0846
    or in the street maybe?
    or just being driven ...

I've always wondered if YOU own a FORD GT also
(I know it's mundane compared to your P4/5)

but since you're a big fan of the 60's FORD GT40

"Patience" is a word that seems foreign to so many these days... <sigh>

Jim has been VERY forthcoming with photos and info so far and I'm sure he will continue to be. This car has a long life ahead of it and Jim isn't the type to lock up his treasures in a private garage, never to be seen again. We as enthusiasts will likely have many opportunites to see parts of that life unfold as things progress. Don't pester the man to death here. :)

What an incredibly awesome project to undertake!

A quick Q: You hear more and more about how many hours X car took to develop in the windtunnel. Did P4/5 spend a lot of time? Forgive me if this has been covered before.

I wish one day I can see her in the flesh.

Le Mans? shock.gif can you guestimate how much weight you'll save (if any) with the racing version? Also, are you contemplating a bump in power?
    Thanks

Similar to a MC 12 Race car both in weight and power."

If this is so, wouldn't this be going down in power?
    http://fast-autos.net/vehicles/Maserati/2005/MC12_Race_Car/
From this it says horsepower is down 26hp to 624hp, although it is down 800 lbs on the Enzo which is still 500 lbs less than the P4/5 if I remember correctly. Will be amazing to see, a full hardtop perhaps, or better a roadster.

Thanks Jim, You have started me on even more dreams now.

From this it says horsepower is down 36hp to 624hp, although it is down 585 lbs on the Enzo which is still 220 lbs less than the P4/5 if I remember correctly. Will be amazing to see, a full hardtop perhaps, or better a roadster.

Strange, I found things on the MC12 Corsa and it says it weighs 100 lbs more than the MC12 Racecar. Though it has 132 more hp.

Hmm, I could see that... 660 hp, see it at about 2300 lbs. Since there must be some drop in weight over the original car. I can't wait to see that, hear that.

Thanks Jim, You have started me on even more dreams now.

Hey Jim. I don't know if this question has been answered earlier, but will there be a television test of your gorgeous car? Topgear or 5th Gear?

    3 Days in wind tunnel.
Enzo for baseline/Enzo with first styling model body for development/P 4/5 for final tweaking.

HP is restricted by current Le Mans regulations. (Air Restriction)
Hp that has to last 24 hours is different than HP that has to last 5.44 seconds.

For the last time. Press will be given rides during our high speed testing but
    not driving her.

The car would be great at LeMans... But I guess it's not the point, right?
The car is a dream come true... It's a work of art!

At this point a race version of P 4/5 is simply a "What if..." Until and IF it moves past that point I'll report but until then it's nothing but a thought or two.

Well no matter what happens, your car will definately hold a place in the books. All of you who have not seen it in person must, must see it someday.

I can not wait for the book, then possibly the new car. You will have an amazing garage, whether this project goes through or not.

If you do go through with making the race version, you can see how she looks in flat black, and you can see how she stacks up against everything else in the same race you listened to on your radio as a kid. Have I convinced you yet? :)

The best of luck to all of your dreams, so that they may come true so that kids today will grow having the same dream you did. On that note, if you could sign the article portion before you send it, it would put icing on the cake.

Thank you Jim for your dream that you have graciously shared with us all, and all of your generous offerings are all much more appreciated than you know. :)

Thank you somuch for sharing you dream with us every step of the way, P4/5 is a beautiful machine both from a stylistic viewpoint and a mechanical one as well; I always thought the Enzo could be made lighter. Futhermore, great move adding the shields and center caps, as I recall (perhaps erroniously) they were absent from the windtunnel mock up and other early pics. I just can't wait for the day it may visit the East Coast.

P.S. Do you have any single daughters? :D

Yes. I also have a wonderful shot gun collection. There's a special one my Sicilian relatives gave me which I especially like even if the barrel is a little short...

His daughter has a picture in the article in Car and Driver ;) She's in the picture selecting materials for the interior. I'm glad she wasn't at the show. The missus would have killed me if I payed any less attention to her, so I wouldn't have gotten to see your shotgun collection either. :\

What is that jutting out of the back? I just can't remember seeing anything in that position on the car.
