Thank you for the pictures Jim. I want the rest of the set when all is said and done. ie the other cars, Peter Hatch
On the front page of the Drive section in the San Jose Mercury News they were talking about the Ferrari 60th party at Silicon Valley Ferrari. They had a bunch of small pictures of ferrari's and all were labeled. The P4/5 was pictured and labeled as a enzo, sadly i didnt get a scan of it.
I just cant believe how 'connected' we all have been here, throughout the evolution of Jim's car. What the papers speculate about, we can just ask. We knew about this project HOW long before media got wind of it? lol. Every time you post really insider photos Jim, I take a second to really think how it is to be able to write back and forth to THE guy the world has been talking about. FChat is the best of the best. By the way... Jim, do you post on the Ferrari&You forums? Best Jon
I took an educated guess about the silver car: Maserati Gran Turismo Here is why: Silver Pininfarina design Shape
One thing I would like to say its been on my mind for a while, is this thread has been perhaps the best thread I have ever seen on any message board. The thread on "Eric's Collection" is a good thread too and is alive and kicking I just wanted to be clear that I'm in no way trying to interfer with this thread or make it bigger etc, this is a piece of history while the other thread is just a fun thing and moreless conversation. I just didnt want anyone to get the impression that I was attempting to one up or anything like that, i'm not at all. I hope this thread keeps going and i'm certain it will, thanks again Jim for everything my best to the F-Chat family eric
The great thing about this community is that like minded people share there experiences with the rest of us WE ALL HAVE A STORY TO TELL. So lets share them all (Lets get to page 200 before easter eh eh) Any way what about PORTO this year eh eh Great to see a very private man (JIM) can and does share his experiences
Guess we won't make 200 by Easter, but you are right that we all have a story. Jim has been inspirational to us all and has made a big difference in the Ferrari community as a whole by being the only owner of one of these one off's of late (575GTZ, Peter Kalikow's 612, P4/5) that has been documenting their experiences. Sure we get to read an interview, or quote from the other two from time to time, but nothing to this extent. I applaud you for sharing all that you have Jim, you have touched more lives than you'll ever know. Maybe not in the Mother Teresa sort of way, but in the way that you do give each of us something to aspire to. If not financially then how you manage your wealth and popularity. Jim's a great guy for all of those who have not spoken to him, or have not had a conversation other than in this thread with him. One of those types that you hope you get a chance to talk to at least once in your life. Keep on keepin' on Jim. Peter Hatch
With any Prototype it's not a bad idea to fully check her out after an initial shakedown. Remember 800 of those miles were hard track miles.
Just got this at the New York show today. I was really sad not to see the P4/5 there but I guess I'll try this in a futile attempt to actually see her in person. Image Unavailable, Please Login
