Yeah, I would love to see Ferrari/Pininfarina have a crack at realizing a new Mondial.

    Will you actually drive it?
    will it be Rosso?

I assume it will make a great driver as it's a brand new car
and we all have seen pix of your old P4 being driven in public highways

    Best of Luck

P.S. guys don't mess with Miura retro concept as it won't reach production

Trivia question : which was the last ONE-OFF ferrari?

Coupe. They also proposed a very cool spyder but I chose the coupe. The great thing about working with Pininfarina is that whatever your dream is they can realize it. I'm hopeful that this will reignite a number of coach built cars.

The rear lip spoiler will reduce lift caused by turbulence over the rear deck notch. I am also considering making the leading surface of the rear deck lip spoiler movable (powered) to trim the centre of pressure under certain conditions. I do not want aerofoils cluttering the shape as the Mondial does not need them.

I take that as a compliment, thanks.
I plan a 3-seater version (central driving position) with 2 reclining passenger seats, powered by a F355 F1 drivetrain.

P.S. if you have another spare chassis lying around...

It was meant as one. I have great admiration for anyone who follows their dreams.

    No spare chassis...

    So am I...

no one has asked about it's doors...
will they open in a conventional way... or Enzo like
or a whole new design is coming?
will it feature Ferrari's signature round button tail lights ?

I believe that was actually shown on an episode of Topgear. From what I can remember it was of the CC8 and the episode was from a couple of years ago. And yes, those doors are pretty insane.

I would rather not as they are destined for a completely new car I want to build (already designed). Some other features of the "new" car will appear on the Mondial Z but not the doors.

    Another hijack
I am putting that stuff in the MZ as well.
    Built in PC to handle:
    - bluetooth phone controls
    - GPS navigation
    - speed camera location
    - MP3 (don't need iPod), DVD, HDD video recording from cameras
    - WiFi & Internet
    - remote communication via pay-as-you-go 3G phone SIM
    - can also control (remap) modern engine ECU (to be fitted later)
    - touch screen, mini-keyboard & trackball input as well as voice recognition

5.1 Sound via NXT technology driving the interior panels
    Electroluminescent & LED interior lighting

    etc.

    Hijack over

A quick question, this thread is so lengthy that I dont recell if it has been mentioned.

From the members who have seen the car in person and you yourself, this car will definately cause a stir when it is released in August and I think it is fair to assume that car magazines will probably be falling over themselves to get some seat time in your creation. Would allow them to do so? If so, who would you let drive it? Forza, CAR, Road & Track- who would you consider to be worthy to drive your creation? Also, would you even go so far as to let the Stig hustle it on Top Gear's test track?

Your program is very interesting. So interesting that you should consider starting a new thread just for your project so it does not get buried in this thread. I would like to watch your progress and finally view the finished product.

    I'd love to see that.

I have another question: Around a track how would this creation compare against a stock Enzo?
