I had a dream last night that I went to the Los Angeles Auto Show and Jim was there with the P4/5. In my dream I spoke with him for a good while. Too funny not to post. I very rarely have dreams, and never anything as realistic as that one. They're usually very abstract. Congratulations for living a dream, Jim, and thanks for sharing her with us.

I've been reading this thread for quite some time and dont recall seeing a diecast being released...or I would have gotten off my wallet!!
Check out the location.... Jim, I didnt know Pininfarina branched out to VA http://exoticspotter.com/list.php?page=5&batch=bt000161/bt000161_584430.jpg&model=all&make=all&location=all&frm=batch_listing Best, Jon
Mr. G could you give me the story behind the design of the wheels? Are the looks derived more for function or for looks, also was the general design of them yours? Oh also are there any renderings of P 4/5 with a red roof?
The wheels were designed by Pininfarina with the brief from me to pay homage to the P 4's wheels. The engineering reality of Ultra high speed rating, DOT/Euro legalities which had to be tested and proven, and the geometry of the Enzo's suspension and the larger tires we used dictated some of their design. I think there is a photo-shop with a red roof somewhere in this thread but the glass roof makes the car much more drivable as there is a lot more visibility. If the roof was solid it would not meet DOT/Euro visibility requirements. It also makes the interior feel much less claustrophobic.
Thank you, the wheels have really grown on me and I like them a lot. I will have to find a good wheel shot from a P 4 now to see how the wheels compare. Also I have seen I think all the P 4/5 pictures out there and have always overlooked the glass roof.
