The Enzo reimagined.... Jim's Ferrari P 4/5 by Pininfarina

Went for another drive today. Cold but nice. At the edge of the storm that will hit tonight. The cockpit shuntable exhaust is very useful. No need to scare the horses but really cool when they're not about. A number were snapping away and I suspect some cell phone photo's will surface on the net. The Troopers were friendly and waved. She is really in great shape.

Pininfarina modified the exhaust with a cockpit controllable switch that allows you to control the level of muffling while keeping the catalysts in the system.

 

let's dub that the built-in boy-racer switch.....

 

Oh good Lord. Jim, I want to use your Gold toilet seat one day as well!


Can this type of system be implemented into other cars. Say the average Joe wants this in his car - possible?

I believe a lot of systems now come with a bypass valve that opens at certain revs. IIRC, Mr. G's car had this at debut. As far as cockpit switches, I'm sure anything could be done with the proper funds. It doesn't sound like it would be too hard.

 

I was talking about the Gold toilet seat... But seriously, how much would a switch like that cost to install, say into a 430 Scuderia? Are there any performance upgrades at all? Would this system be able to dull the noise from an illegaly loud exhaust on city roads, and let me "crank up the volume" on country drives?

Jim, have you/are you going to plan a photo shoot with your car? I think that it would be a great idea, and would also occupy some of the empty space upstairs in my room!

Screw the pic's man me all should organize a 'ride along' with Jim in the P4/5! Of course I will need to wear some 'Depend's' so I dont soil the passenger's seat which I cant afford to replace LOL! Oh well back to reality so yah I'm all for a pictorial Jim??

He's just planning a road trip, so he can stop by my house to have a ride in the Mustang. I've tried to tell him it's a little far for just a ride in a 94 GT, and I told him that he could probably pick one up for less than the price of gas of coming all the way out and back in that gas guzzler, but he swears it'll be worth it. I don't wanna put too many miles on my baby (she only has 202K miles right now) so he'll probably only get a ride around the block. He seems pretty psyched though.
