I ran into to Tony (from Desert Fire) yesterday, he's excited about doing the brunch for everyone. He loves this event and loves supporting everyone.

If you see him, make sure to say hi! And I'm sure he'd love a ride sometime, we should try and include him if there's a drive that's going to be happening.

I talked with Ty yesterday and he said that the camcorder they mounted on the motorcycle officers fuel tank fell off. Were there any other motion shots taken at this memorable event?

Looking forward to it! If the past couple of weeks have been any indication, the next couple of months are going to be great.

It will be fun to get to see everyone again--see you all on Saturday!

I heard that he sold it last year. Maybe he'll bring his 250 GTO out.

Seeing Greg's 250 GTO bearing down on you in your rear-view mirror whilst giving it some stick at Pacific Raceways will really get your attention, lemme tell ya!

    nice video BUT

Good thing the driver didn't cause an accident. Very dangerous with oncoming traffic like that. While I love to see great vids of exotic cars, it is not worth it with foolish and irresponsible driving. Not cool. Don't do it again (please). the driver doesn't even yield to oncoming traffic. Just not worth it when someone can get killed.

That probably has something to do with the fact it was a motor officer if memory serves. They tend to get away with that. :):)

Very Correct. The camera was mounted on a Police Motorcycle who was escorting the group of 30 of us to the Salish Lodge. They would drive up the road and block intersections and wait for us to all get safely through. They would then speed past us to the next intersection and do it again. Tom can correct me if I am wrong, but when you are under a police escort, oncoming traffic has the obligation to move to the side of the road and get out of the way.

I still say he's an idiot. I think the funeral escorts are stupid too. He's making others drive onto the shoulder at speed & risking his life for what????

Well, I apologize for speaking (writing) before I understood the whole story. However, I do agree with the above that it is dangerous to make the oncoming traffic get over to the shoulder.

    Again, I apologize.

I guess I would be a bad cop. I would let the exotics go if they were exceeding the speed limit (within reason) but would hammer the people driving into other lanes and hot-dogging---- being dangerous.

    sorry, mike

    Hi Everyone,
We've been watching the weather closely and most are saying no rain that morning so it looks like we're on. We're going to have 20 or so cars from the Alfa group joining us that morning before they head out on a drive. We will keep a close eye on the weather for any sudden changes, but for now we think we can call it.

    See you then!

You know that line from Monty Python's 'Live of Brian'? What is the Emperor's name? "Biggus Dickus". There are times buddy. :D:D Especially since I just let you use my SLR for the weekend so your Elfs had some class to ride in instead of on. :D:D:D
