WOW...amazing thread, great pics, it's not common to see the F50 from that angle. May I dare to ask how much the clutch + bearing for the F50 costs??
Thanks, I am glad folks find it interesting as it takes some time to put it all together. As I said earlier, I won't be commenting on specific costs as this is a public website. I will say that everything is relative. Relative to parts for my 308 (production 17000ish), the F50 (production 375ish) is expensive; but relative to my 360 Michelotto (production 30-40 units) it isn't too bad. I dare say that if this job was done in England or the USA, the cost would have been significantly higher than it was in Melbourne. I suspect that the F50 will be a keeper, so the most important thing is getting it right.
Ahhh; but remember the 308 was quite ground breaking in it's day- rescued Ferrari in fact. I still love driving mine
Yes it is a feast of technology, I can look at it for hours. Those Tubi manifolds are also pretty special. Unfortunately I never got around to taking photos before they were fitted. Those spaghetti manifolds are actually twin tube- a tube within a tube. Phil weighed all the components of the Tubi and standard and the weight saving was 36kg from memory.
A superb job Scott. For those of us that are technically minded, these are pictures of the workings of the F50 that few would ever see. Thanks.
Gorgeous work ! Your wrench is a top notch fella ! Congrats on a fantastic car, and best quality work.
