I like how he says in the Q&A that he had a cash offer for $475k and turned it down. He might want to go shake that tree again if it doesn't sell on eBay this time.
I like how he says no one Ferrari Chat knows anything about the car when one member was the one to have actually purchased the car from the thief and then was able to get a refund and return the car when he found out about it being stolen.
He wants about a hundred k more than that offer. The head of house counsel for the company I work for called on the car today. The owner is, interesting?
Why? A 365 GTC went for 1.1M. The F50 was the last of a kind. Manual GB, V12, Push rods suspension..They wont make them like that anymore.
Although i love the F1 gearbox and ceramic brakes etc..I do love the old analogue cars as well and the F50 was the epitome of that kind when it comes to Ferrari.
Time moves on. I love my E-Type but I know that an XK would eat it alive! The F50 is a great car and was the best of its time, but the calendar reads 2013 now, not 1995.
I thought they were still between $500-700m that's all. I agree with your sentiment, the price of F50's will probably skyrocket because of these facts. And because it's awesome.
For some reason the last page of this thread is not showing up properly and showing a bunch of random coding at the top of the page. Anyone else see this?
