Interesting that F 50 asking prices in FML are reaching Enzo asking prices. They also seem to sell faster.
True. I just sold 104746 with around 4,500 miles for a tidy 7-figure sum and both buyer & seller were very happy. I think F50s are simply being remembered and recognized as very cool cars, the last Ferrari Supercar with a manual gearbox etc. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Sounds right. My count on the USA cars in excess of $1m in recent times if you include the auction car is 4. Of course there could be others.
2 Auction cars The 4,000 miles car you sold Plus the one my friend bought Did the black one sell in the 7 figures?
No, cant say a number but that's the high-mileage/engine replacement car that was asking $695k at a point.
Not with 55K miles on it and a new engine. The ask was $695,500. 1995 Ferrari F50 Serial Number 104799 - main page >8^) ER
Yeah ! Let's see in which city it lands It's going to be the first Ferrari hypercar in India and i doubt if it's going to stay here permanently .
Years ago it lived in Houston with Jim S as his second F50. He drove it to work every day for a number of years, ergo the mileage.
I hope that is the case but its a little difficult to believe given the import laws in the country. Non-RHD cars cannot be imported into India (unless by a diplomat for personal use) and even importing RHD requires a move of residence along with other hassles.
Kinda funny India has such harsh laws about importing a LHD car considering how careless they drive..RHD or not.
True. Actually you cannot import any pre-owned car in India, unless its a case of transfer of residence, where you have to show that you have owned the car for atleast a year in the original country of purchase. No LHD cars are allowed in India unless its for Homogolation or testing purposes. And even if you do manage to import it,customs and other various duties will add up to around 100%,so you pay double to register it in India.
As Andrew suggests, these laws are quite unreasonable, but they are the laws there - thanks for clarification, by the way. Anyway, I doubt you'll be seeing an F50 actually driven on the roads, as it might simply exist in a private collection.
I was at Maranello yesterday and saw a red F50 as part of the Supercars special exhibit at the museum. What was particular about this model was that it had a keypad in the dashboard to the left of the steering wheel as well as a mechanical device to block the shifter in place. My guess is that both of these are anti-theft modifications installed aftermarket. I was not able to get the VIN. Anyone know of this car?
Looks like the F50 GT is at FoSV https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/284638_615745491772595_549115492_n.jpg
