    Is this Cornelia H's car?

You are not the only one.

I've seen a USA F50 and a Eu F50 side-by-side and there's no question that the more prominent downforce winglets in the USA car make the front end look visually more aggressive, earlier in this thread I posted some images to illustrate the point.

Happy for those enjoying and thanks for the nice comments. It took a dozen of years of continuous improvement while preserving originality to get to the highest standard that we think we can achieve. But it’s not just that, we aim for consistency across various examples. Here are pictures (one for each car) from different angles.

These are obviously works of art for you Karim, out of interest what car do you jump in and simply enjoy for its driving pleasure, regardless of any wet or muddy roads, with no care about racking up the miles in? I am sure you have a few options in the fleet :)

The answer, Paul500, needs the context of the last 40 years -
    1980s: 308 GTB,
    1990s: (Mid: Haulpak; Late: 512 TR);
2000s: (Early: F40; Late: Carrera GT),
    2010s: (Early: 599 GTO; Mid: Enzo & F50; Late: 365 BB),
2020s (Volvo X90 - mainly when not packed with kids/pets/luggage…) - in other words, I had my fair share of fun and crazy driving, but in the past.

I played ‘spot the difference’ between under the bonnet pics here is what a spotted.

    1) the washer bottle on all 3 is almost 3/4 full on all 3 but ever so slightly different, and the lids on all 3 have a slight different colour of use from dirty hands, clean hands and finally to manicured hand use only.

    2) the green wire between headlights on N/S (for uk roads, as they are uk cars), all 3 pics the wire is slightly different but OS looks identical in all 3 pics.

    3) and finally the brake fluid reservoir plug is different position in all 3 pics

I had to compare and study them as I was convinced they were the same pic, absolutely immaculate. Thanks for sharing.

BTW. Do you find yourself doing that with these cars side by side, analysing each and comparing. ?

No, K B, I do not compare them - actually it’s the first time I put them in contrast in these set of pics. By ‘consistency’ I wish to suggest that each car is looked at with a keen eye of improvement in the smallest details while keeping the patina and how she was manufactured in contrast to an approach of getting all of them to an identity kit standard.
But of course there is an indirect influence as you learn from each one a bit more. Hope that makes sense.

There was an event in Chatanooga this weekend. Does anyone know what F50 the US F50 was? Was that 104121?

I’ve also read 103288 is stored in Chatanooga, as the owner lives in Charlotte as CEO of Coca Cola bottling. But I don’t know if I have seen that car at any events in the past.s

The USA F50 on display this week at Chattanooga was not 104121, it was another USA F50, one of two different USA F50s which I've sold to the current owner & exhibitor.

By the way, if I recall correctly 104121 had just 240 miles on the clock and was in the collection of IP along with my former 288 GTO 56331, together with an F40, an Enzo and a LaFerrari, all USA examples with low mileage.

As regards the USA F50 103288, I believe JFH III has owned it from new.

thank you for that information. I think I figured it out. What is more surprising is you’ve only sold two US models? I guess this and 103992.

It just surprises me, since you have been a huge resource to me when it comes to F50 information.

Yeah it’s nice just to see one now and again, but to have more than 2 available to put side by side that is rare, special.

So have you never got all your F50s together for a picture somewhere, like DK Eng courtyard, or similar ? ……do I remember correctly that you had 2 f40s also, do you still have them , that would would make a great photo to have them all together.

I may be wrong but I think what Joe meant was that it’s one of 2 f50s sold to just one client, ( and he only displayed one of them), but for sure joe has sold much more than 2 f50s. He’s probably sold 2 in the past 12 months.

Neither of the 2 F50's I sold my client JA was the ex-GL 103992.

I think we've sold around 10 USA F50s plus a similar number of Eu F50s, and continue to be asked for them.

BTW, if you track them and know of any USA F50s available privately, please advise via PM.

    Correct.

I followed Kevin with the same straight pipe he had on his F50 (and I enjoyed it for many years).

He now upgraded with a custom-made exhaust system by Capristo with Scuderia Parts leadership. I might just follow them again and come back from retirement…

Enjoy - En español: puro y duro!

I believe that's the same car that was the subject of this thread www.ferrarichat.com from a few years ago.

I have a USA client who put a straight-through exhaust system on the USA F50 I sold him @ 15 years ago, and I believe I may still have some material on this in my. archives, I'll check and see.

Here we go - it was USA F50 104795 which we sold to JC in California with just over 3,500 miles @ 15 years ago, then later resold along with his F40 when it was replaced with an Enzo.

This F50 was fitted with a Michelotto-supplied Tubi exhaust comprising free-flow headers and sport mufflers, I think the owner's choice of Tubi style was their affiliation with Ferrari SpA with their F1 and GT cars, not to mention their work on the F50 GT and the race-winning 333 SP as engineered by Michelotto.

Apparently not all Tubi systems were created equal and at that point it was possible to commission a special system via Michelotto, the headers had perfected mandrel bend radii to accentuate free-flow, and the sport mufflers were more hollowed than standard - I think these had tube-through internals with no perforations, quite unlike straight through pipes, this system retained a sonorous V12 sound and not just noise. It sounded like one hundred howling dogs from hell, and, to the delight of following road users, it belched flames upon gear changes and on the overrun.
