Anyone who has seen customized Schedoni luggage for the F40 bearing the owner's name will have seen this same finish depicted above by Schedoni before, many years ago I asked Schedoni to inscribe a set of F40 luggage similarly for me, and they did, this was at a time when Schedoni would still do this work.

The document pouch for an F50 is the permanent pouch that is attached to the rear baulk-head of the interior cabin, behind the seats. That is originally where the owners manual, service/warranty book and others books were kept, and where they arrived when the cars were delivered new from the factory.

As years pass and also the fact an F50 is an open top car, owners did not like to keep their books and documents effectively exposed in the car, so many were removed and stored with the other paperwork as it built up. Many owners preferred a secondary folder to store the books, I have seen multiple variants, and Schedoni was only to happy to supply, they are a business after all!

Many other items like the above were given out with certain cars, i.e.:
if the owner had a special connection with the factory and a signed letter of congratulations was given.
Sometimes extra things were given if the new owner collected the car personally from the factory. Certain customers were sent owner surveys and asked in-depth details on the driving experience of their new car, such a survey would have arrived in the above document file.

Many cars never received such a file because the original owners flipped the cars quickly and the Concessionaires refused to send them to the second owners or in many cases didn't even know who they were. I bought multiple of these folders from one such concessionaire many years after the F50 was launched and the world moved on.

But they were not standard delivery with all the cars, and can not be regarded as such. Also they are designed as a single document file, not a file for books.

Also Ryan, at Classic Ferrari Parts, is a lovely guy with an amazing inventory, but he is no authority on Ferrari parts or memorabilia for these cars, sadly a huge amount of his items are mis-described, or a certain poetic licence has been applied - please do not take his website or narrative as a reference for anything F50, F40 or 288GTO.

Interesting comments, all appreciated, still, Karim's comment of "Wrong pouch - nothing to do with F50s" in response to the image I posted of F50 103288's pouch is incorrect as I said here www.ferrarichat.com

Having dealt with Ryan on numerous occasions, my experience with Classic Ferrari Parts hasn't resulted in my sharing your view that he is no authority on Ferrari parts or memorabilia for these cars , IMO he's certainly an authority on some Ferrari parts, but he's not the only authority on all Ferrari parts, for example he's more of an authority on Ferrari parts than most posting here, which comes from the simple fact that he has a specialized International business trading these parts as a dedicated Ferrari Parts specialist. The link which I shared www.classicferrariparts.co.uk was not meant to suggest that Ryan is the best authority on the subject, it was for the purpose of showing the existence of the same pouch F50 103288 has, one which has not been custom-engraved by Schedoni, irrefutably proving that 103288's pouch is not a one-off Schedoni creation. Meanwhile, other F50s I have handled have this same pouch 103288 has which Ryan is selling. As an aside, I have a feeling Ryan's pouch won't be for sale for long now. That said, nobody posting in this thread is the world's singular authority on anything F50-related, IMO we are all here learning and sharing what we have learned, ergo the point of the thread.

I do agree that many F50s changed hands often and perhaps as a result no longer have all their original ancillaries, in fact, many F50s today have ancillary sets which comprise items that have been purchased later, items that never originally came with the car with which they now reside. As regards your comment that original (F50) owners flipped the cars quickly, FWIW, in the USA at least, Ferrari SpA took steps to prevent that very thing from happening in the first two years www.roadandtrack.com , and, for that or perhaps some other reason, it appears that USA cars, at least the ones I have handled, have more of their original ancillaries together. The last USA F50 with just over 2,000 miles we sold came with everything original that was supplied with the car down to it's original Goodyear Fiorano tires, and although a Tubi sport exhaust had been fitted, the original exhaust also came with the car.

I'd like to ad my 2 cents worth. I agree with Karim that this folder is nothing to do with the handbooks because its the wrong wrong size and there is nowhere in the car to store such an item. However, I also agree with Joe that it is very authentic to (some) F50's. From my time selling these cars new this "folder"......its not a pouch..... was intended to house the certificate of authenticity signed by either Luca or Piero, and any other A4 sized welcome/congratulatory correspondence. For VIP customers only, no VIP's got the certificates etc in a white paper envelope !!

For 103328 (sold new in HK) the folder survived but not the papers, so the photo in this thread incorrectly shows the service book there instead of the integrated car pouch behind the seats.

How were the Tod's sized? I'm sure they were made to fit the original owner but they're booties so sometimes they're sized to a range. I'd definitely want to try them on if I owned one.

Does anyone know the whereabouts of 104804? Someone sent me the photo of what appears to be the hood in a garage in Switzerland. Does anyone have the story about this and the validity? You can see the Luca di Montezemolo signature on the hood.

That's the front clip from when first owner A.L. damaged the car.
104804 is in a massive but discreet private collection in Europe.

to add on 105772. I believe it was originally rosso corsa, but I have a photo of it from 1997 of it in the Wilmslow, UK in Rosso Barchetta on the same plates.

With Albert S in a large Italian car collection CH I believe.

Here's 105772 in 1997 with the same N 131 BNC UK registration in Rosso Barchetta, which contrasts as a darker shade of red compared with the Rosso Corsa 328 in the foreground.

Perhaps this is the same image SVLT was speaking of.
