Yes, some owners simply have the dealer do it whilst the car is in for service.

I did it once, it takes 2 people at least a half hour the first time through, perhaps more. you have to be really careful with the cf not to break anything as its fragile. Once its safely in the box just leave it there!

    Thanks for sharing :)

I knew that it was an involved process, but I've never seen the process before.

I agree - I love the F50 so much more with the roof fitted.

Of course there are others who feel the exact opposite as we do.

My friend saw someone posted the car for US$1.1million. Not sure if this is reasonably priced or a rip-off. Can someone help ?

All depends on the demand as well as other important factors pertaining specifically to the condition of the vehicle.

    FORZA Magazine recently valued the F50 at $750k - $950k :)

$1.1m does sound a bit on the high side.

My car is 7k on the clock, I was offered 500k sterling for it about two weeks ago. I had it on SOR at a dealer here in the UK, that offer came within two weeks. I chose not to sell in the end as there was a change in personal circumstances. Luckily.

There is another car here in the UK that has only done 2k and the dealer is asking 600k for it. Might not get it but I bet it won't be far off.

Won't ever take the roof off mine either. Although I do want to put a fruity exhaust on it. MS systems in Japan seem to do something pretty spectacular.

From what I hear J Wolf and MS are the same system.

Not one for modding cars normally, but I love it on those black rims too. The noise is just other worldly.

Indeed, I was watching it live and the bid in the room was 1.250 Million, plus 10% buyers premium.....1,375,000.00 ....WOW

I wonder if just the fact it's a 700 miles car explains the premium over market price.

That's a nice number for the F50. I always though the fact they hadn't really broken through the million dollar price mark was odd. Rarer than the Enzo and F40 and a very analog experience you just can't get from the newer stuff. I know some don't love the looks, but I have always loved it, especially with the roof fitted. EVO rated it the best drive of all the Ferrari supercars as well.

    Certainly feels like it...

    Surprised about the price, honestly.

@Joe, what are your thoughts? :) (Surprised or not?)

RM and Gooding have lately brought large over market premiums. Look at the 2,200 mile Enzo, that sold for a total of almost 1.5mm (buyers premium included). That is way over market considering that a sub 2,000 mile car sold a little over a month ago for under 1.4mm. I think these cars will move up, but this all the money and then some for an F50. Last year a sub 1,000 mile F50 was available for 1.1mm. Perhaps in two years 1.35mm will be seen as a bargain, but I doubt that.
