Wow, this last render looks pretty good and so much takes into account the clues we have that my feeling now is "the actual car should be sooo close to this!". Yes, there are a couple minor details but this is an awesome effort.
The 'lower lip' of the front intake in that render is horrible and destroys everything... to those who saw the real car, must we expect something similar? That way, it looks like a miffed carp...
I've been following this thread for a while now and have made up some considerations about the design of the F150. The last render of Josiah LaColla looks much like the mules. However some parts don't match with the metal invite plaque. Considering the design of the front fender of the f12 berlinetta I came up with a design which would match the this fender. IMO the tunnel (marked with the green arrow) would create downforce as it does on the f12 (since the orange arrow leads a more direct route, than the green arrow, meaning a fastening airflow for the green arrow and therefore downforce). The airflow then continues to an active aero wing (marked with the blue arrow) , which would could have significant size considering the size of the whole that does arise from the tunnel. The rear wheel arches then would look LMP1 Le Mans inspired. For those who have seen the car am I missing it completely or am I closer than the rendering of Josiah LaColla? And excuse me for my poor photoshop skills! Image Unavailable, Please Login
This is the question I posed about the rear fender feature in the post below; vent or scoop. If a vent, could be radiator exit, so not really accelerated air. Image Unavailable, Please Login
If it was a vent it would still be an airflow which could be directed towards a movable wing. Which could be much bigger. I think it could be a vent just to direct airflow, instead of a radiator outlet or a combination of a radiator exit and a vent. Which could have the same effect of the front fender of the f12 Berlinetta. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Very interesting article in new Autosport about latest F1 aero including double passive DRS and wake vortices which you might enjoy.
Why are you mad? Ingenere has the history of getting extremely close to the real thing with his sketches. He stands by that sketch because he feels he's from a couple of details from the real car. I wouldn't be surprised that the profile of the F70 will look similar to his sketch. His sketch are 10 times better than the photoshops magazines show so show some respect.
I respect everyone but these sketches have been seen more and more times. We all know them by heart. A friend of mine have seen the final F150 and, after seeing these sketches, he told that the car will be totally different.
Can you share some details of what your friend saw? Would be helpful in trying to better predict the final design.
Sarebbe interessante rivedere questi rendering dopo aver visto la macchina reale e dare un premio al più vicino.
i'm not sure if P1 will sell better than f150 just like f50 (imho one of ugliest supercar in that period) out selling the f1 during supercar boom. the truth is mclaren targets sell 300 f1 that time, lot of potential buyer cancel the order. one example, I've told that the local f50 owner cancel f1 order ONLY BECAUSE it had a bmw engine, then he bought the f50 i am sure it will became de javu in p1 case (even if mclaren make that hypercar faster than gt3 car) i know my english is really bad
Thanks. Very interesting topic those fluidic switches - bit tricky to set up in passive mode, it seems, which is understandable. Summary also here (Autosport pay site): Tech blog day four: Wet towels required - AUTOSPORT+
Ha-ha. Winner gets an F150... Hot Wheel. Also need to consider timeline. My first sketch was done in September when we had very little to go on: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/141746547-post1570.html
Could be, but the benefit at the front, like on F12, is to bleed off the high pressure ahead of the windshield, which is not the case at the back. I think the shape of the hood on F150 will look similar to F12 with a bridge which will tie into trailing edge of the front fender and hide the door hinge mechanism.
Of course, no spyshots allowed during the presentation. But I have been told the F150 will be very close to the Josiah LaColla's renderings in therm of design. No other info for now.
It's a photo of FXXs. Link posted by Sammy Wasem saying "soon the new Enzo will be unveiled". Photo's caption says "next week could be surprising".
