Pagani employs less than 60 people. And developed the Huayra. Just saying.

    Horacio is the new Enzo.

With Fiat's resources this car should have been faster than the X-15 and drove like a RR Wraith.

Eccellenza would've been a better name if that's the whole point. Leaps and bounds better than LaFerrari...just say it out loud, "I drive a Ferrari LaFerrari." or "I drive a LaFerrari."

I know I did earlier today, and I sounded like I was stuttering or had some speech impairment.

Not a fan of recent Ferrari design but I think this car has presence. It is not elegant but it is brutally beautiful. Of all the high end cars I have heard this was one won hands down. No F40 or 288 GTO stylwise, but better than the F50 and Enzo in my IMO. You know watching the video it belongs in that rare Hyper F car lineage.

And a painted roof would go a long way to making the design more cohesive. So one of you fools go buy one and paint the roof already!

And yes I am going to say it, the dumbest name ever!! This is the F70. La Ferrari. Luca should be whipped publicly for coming up with that gem.

I think this car is so amazing, and so insane, that your head may be at risk of exploding if you were to drive this thing.

It means throughout the global dealer network, the customers have been identified and they all said yes, but there are no written buyers orders. Can one of these buyers say no thanks? Sure, and another person will slide into that spot. The big difference is that McLaren needs to sell their car.

Erik - how many p1's do you honestly think McLaren will sell? We know they already cut production from 500 to 375. I really think they will struggle to get above 150. The F1 - which was universally accepted as a mega car - took 3-4 years to sell 64 cars, right?

Has the list of options been released?

What about the "second model"? Can anyone let us in on what the differences are going to be between the two cars?

Because the 458 and 430 don't look remotely the same.

the yellow furthre illustrates my biggest gripe with P1: the canopy is too big/tall for the rest of the body. it looks like a Jetsons vehicle...a bubble sitting on top of a rocket. with the La, La..LaF...i'm sorry what a stupid name...with the F70, these pics really don't show the surfaces of the body..the curves, rises, indents, etc.. from the rear..i love it..the side...ok, front 3/4 is most challenging for me. In black as in the illustrator , i think it looks good all around. that's my color. love the interior, and performance? ridiculous as expected.

This is the most accurate statement regarding this entire buildup.

Of all similarities that can be drawn, the LaFerrari looks most like the Huayra (side profile particularly). It resembles the Enzo and 458, yes, but the overall design execution lends itself to drama and beauty in much the same way that the Pagani does.

Horacio penned the Huayra in the early 00's. He's produced exceptional designs and detail that others can't match/try to copy. And he does it small scale and personal.

The LaFerrari is quite good...but the king of Italy is still, for me, Pagani.

If horacio was the new Enzo, he would go racing and have built his own engines.

Nice cars but no Ferrari or Mclarens...

Car is gorgeous. They should do a lottery for 10 buyers who own Ferrari's who want the shot at buying one. If you want one you have to make a firm commitment to do so then your name goes into a lottery to be picked by the CEO. 10 lucky people get the shot to own one who might not be a celebrity or just has not been around long enough to own a dozen cars over decades. Just sayin'

Like many...don't love the name. Liked their code name for it better. MilleChilli I think it was. Either way the name would not stop me from buying one.

I saw Huayra too, but then I like the Huayra.

The Ferrari The Ferrari is very cool, but since I'm not buying anything except in this thread I'll take the Huayra or a 275GTB/4.

Tony you can't really blame them. After the tax increases they figured there wasn't a person in the US wealthy enough anymore to spend 4.5 mlilion. :)
