I guess, the second prototype was also made by Bertone, including interior etc. etc. … Image Unavailable, Please Login … and that they had professional advice on producing the car on their own…
Check out the gear shift on it, not gated. I like the pocket on the sill. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The factory decided to restore the car like it was used in the brochure, I think thats a good decision - since that brochure is widely known and is a point in time when the main development was done. Interesting the Jalpa spider (which is CLA12001, the Jalpa-Prototype and the original Silhouette in person) had golden rims then. It's the first time I see this picture in color, so far it was available only in B/W. The silver version aka CLA12001 was shown in CAR and ROMBO magazine and had the blue hide like still nowadays.
I absolutely love these interviews with the people who worked at Ferrari, Lamborghini, the design houses... In the golden age. Their testimony is fascinating and incredibly valuable. I didn't know about this YouTube channel but saw almost all from the Davide Cironi's one. Thank you very much for sharing.
Have you seen "Driving Dreams" (A documentary about Italian design and coachbuilding from 2016) ? I think it's still available on Amazon and possibly other streaming services. I highly recommend it.
