Probably a badge engineered Maserati thingy....yawn. I wish manufacturers would make decent Small exotics , not over weight dinosaurs...and no the 4C ALFA is Plain ugly. Main reason it hasn't sold any where near what Alfa hoped.
On another matter I see two V12 Ferrari's are off Car Sales(listed as Sold????), a 575 F1 and the red 456GT from Perth.
Not everyone agrees with you re the 4C - one of our Qld members brought his along to a motorkhana last year and was offering rides to anyone who was interested. All the comments I heard were positive and ALL the ladies were wild for the car. That it's a very expensive little toy is probably a more likely explanation of sales.
I have no issue with the way the 4C performs it's the styling, a travesty to call it a modern Stradale.
well I wouldn't call it a modern Stradale, but, as I said, all the Ferrari ladies (about 8 of us as I recall) loved it.
Correct. It's basically an Italian Elise, styling wise. That's fine. The ladies are welcome to buy one.
since when has the Elise been considered ugly? And we'll have to wait and see who does turn up with one!
Always, by me. And girly. Not that there's anything wrong with that, of course. But the last car Lotus made that I'd buy (from a styling perspective) was the Esprit. I wish they'd make another one instead of endless slightly more powerful versions of two ugly old girly cars.
The Elise was released when the 355 was new. Nothing wrong with the styling, though. I thought the 355 was a bit naff, with the fake front grille. Dynamically, the Elise runs rings around the 355, too.
Well, I know lotus owners would like to believe that, but I don't believe it to be true. An Elise ran off the road in the twisties trying to keep up with me in the 308GT4 in Tasmania. They drive like a 308GTB.
Pardon? I had a lot of wheel time in the first Rover-engined Elise and the upgraded 130hp version that followed. Both had the nastiest, rubberiest gearchange since the VW Beetle. They crashed and banged over any sought of pothole, the interior trim fell off in your hands and the chassis might have been nimble at low speeds, but it was very unpredictable at the limit. Luckily you couldn't drive them hard for long before the head gasket blew. Toyota Corolla drivetrain improved the reliability, but IMO the experience remains pommy kit car rather than thoroughbred. And a 355 has more places to store your torch
