You could build another car Jm as for those brutal looking rotors and brakes I’m lost as to why they didn’t just put these on the 360, weren’t Ferrari expecting their clients to fully enjoy the 395 hp on tap Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app

I agree its a cool thing, but the problem with selling a 360 Challenge is that there is really no use in Oz for the car except club track days where a 430 Challenge or a 458/488 road cars going to be quicker . And you'll need a trailer or transporter to get it to and from the track. Outside of the original challenge series racing these things are not really competetive and there are other cars (ie Porsche) that have much better parts and tech support. From a collectability perspective, yes it's a Ferrari, but the 360 racing career in the era was limited to the Ferrari Challenge series and private entries in endurance racing and sports car racing where they did not have a particularly distinguished record and that reduces their desirability in the view of collectors.
That’s vcool interesting info M what about track days hill climbs fun non competitive stuff I recon it’s still something special in years to come we’ll look back and say “imagine buying one in 2018 when they were $100grand”Had I the cash I think it would look quite nice in the living room with a couple of pot plants on it nevertheless Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app

Call Mark from Maranello Motorsport and ask how much a typical racing weekend in this thing would cost, you'd quickly realise racing a Ferrari will bankrupt you sooner than a coke habit.
I'd be surprised if it would bankrupt you. My Indy car works out to $150/lap for a typical season including amortising an engine rebuild every 1000 miles. To put it into perspective, it's much less than the annual depreciation on a new exotic sports car of any brand. The bigger problem with that particular 360 is that it would be hopelessly off the pace in the only series available to run it. You'd not only be starting from the back, but you'd be lapped every race and that is not fun.
I've never done any racing, so my knowledge of running costs is based purely on conversations with Mark over the years. Ian, it seems you do a lot of work on the car yourself, have the facilities to perform the work, store the car etc., and you don't have professional support crew during the races. This may have something to do with keeping the costs down. Mark once quoted me $5-7k per weekend "turn up and drive" before repairs, I'd say based on this you'd be lucky to get change from $100k after 10 weekends.
I take you're point, "arrive and drive" is definitely another dimension of cost. My system is "arrive, boss the crew around, then drive". DMWC will be shocked that you don't regard him as a professional though - he has a certificate from the LGBTIQ school of hair and makeup
