Hi Mike hope your well,I’m shure their a great car but half a million dollars are they really that good? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
The price reflects it's perceived status as a collectible, not how good it is. They are good, but not 3 times a 360.
Beautiful car Ian,,I would love to have a 63' split window..I've never seen one in person though, would you know if there are any in Australia??(Not that I'm in the market )
Quite a few SW's in Aus - they've been the most sought after C2's for a long time. Problem is that most are awful to drive. The standard car has soggy suspension, drum brakes and a 250hp 327. Most 300 or 340hp cars have standard suspension too - you could order a standard car and tick whatever engine option you liked. A 340hp car with sports suspension is US$200K now, well over $300K landed here. An injected "big tank" SW is a US$300K car now. I switched my search to 66 big blocks because they came with all the right options - including stiff suspension and 4 spot ventilated discs front and rear. They handle, stop and go much better than any 1966 production Ferrari (and plenty of 70's ones for that matter).
Thanx....................................................................................................I think.
I've only ever driven a later 76' car and although it went like the clappers(can't remember if it had a 350 or 454) it too was awful to drive..it really felt like a fast kit car and the build quality felt poor,,very rattlely as well.. I've always had a soft spot for the though C1,,'56-57
That’s not a bad bet,I’d turn up for that race, couple laps of the local track Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
True enough, but I've driven 275's in reasonable anger and whilst I'm sorry to corrupt fchat with reality, they're not very good.
When you pass Klink on the Oxley I’ll believe you. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I would neet a Saturn V rocket to pass Klink on the Oxley. My problem is that I rather like being alive.
