Are you serious..........were you born naturally condesending or have you developed this attitude over the years.

PROPER enthusiasts of the marque will always look for the Aussie delivered, manual(if it's applicable to the model),full books and tools.........

I dont know you so I will try my best not to label you and absolute tool but will simply say that your comment lacks any sort of credibility.
My first car was an Oz 348 and my second a UK 360 both lovely examples of the model and I loved the both. I can assure you that I am a PROPER ENTHUSIAST with a passion second to none for the marque.

Perhaps you may wish to reflect on a well known saying that it is better to remain quiet and appear ignorant rather than to open your mouth and remove all doubt... ?!?!

Reasonably important point for the self appointed proper enthusiast:

Enzo sold out to FIAT. We didn’t. He never really cared about your now ancient HOS road car.
    Get over it.

Slagging off someone else’s dream car because some old git who didn’t give a **** anyway (but was happy to pocket their hard earned money in order to prop up an iffy racing team, and then sold out to a huge corporate when it suited) seems a bit strange.

They are all Ferraris, and they came from the same factory.

The reason i say you're dumb is because your post simply ignored all of what I've said previously and added stupidity that was irrelevant. If you scroll back through my previous comments, you'd know that rather than just focussing on one post and going off on a tangent.

Do you really expect me to scroll through 70,000 posts?
If, somewhere amongst the dross you have already agreed with me, I apologise.

What I have said recently is entirely relevant to this discussion.
Greg said that if / when he advertises his car he would point out that it was UK delivered.
As would I, and likely any other owner in that situation. It’s just one aspect of a car that came from the Ferrari factory in Italy.

The suggestion that true Ferrari enthusiasts prefer Australian delivered cars is hilarious.
If someone really wanted to go down that path, I suspect the opposite is true.
For - lol - “world cars”, I doubt that Aussie delivered would be particularly desirable.
Or, far more likely: potential buyers don’t give a ****, and will buy on condition / history.
    Funny about that.

I thought I read somewhere that he signed off on the design. I’ve just checked, and yes, I am wrong. My mistake.

Legend has it that he signed off on the F40 but that was issued by the marketing people and we know how their veracity is considered :)

So many contradictions I don’t know where to start. So it’s OK to buy a UK car with good history vs an Aussie car? OK. Proper enthusiast in that case?

Still don’t get the buy and sell bit? I bought a 911 when I was Ferrariless as a “filler” them found the 575 soon after and sold it 18mths later as it was surplus to my needs. Bought it cheap and made a big profit on it, is that what bothers you? Left wing jealousy? Lol [emoji12]

The C4 was also bought cheap. It was an unloved ****ter previously owned by a cheapskate with lots of deferred maintenance issues. Ask PP what I told him I thought of it when I drove it. I knew it was heading for an engine rebuild but hoped it would be later rather than sooner, so not stung at all. The price I paid was fair for the condition it was in. I sorted it completely mechanically but after all that didn’t really bond with it so sold it at the right time because I could otherwise I would have kept it. Yes I sold it when the market was hot, so what? And so what if others did too. They must be terrified that you know who they are and can name them  I enjoy these cars, making money on them is a bonus and also enjoyable, so what? Hang on, I get it, you were forced to sell in a hot market and making money in that setting is more virtuous. Not being in a position to buy and sell whenever you want also makes it more virtuous and a “Proper Enthusiast “

Oh come on or should I say “Oh leave it out” OLIO [emoji3]

Let the AUS delivered enthusiasts eat their cake. If they want to pay more to drive the same car so be it. Its there money to spend. Im sure if the market was to relax they would have more money to lose.

So if you buy the same UK car car cheaper than the AUS car. The value goes up by 20%. The AUS car goes up 20% everyine still makes a profit

I say buy the car you want and enjoy it

It is, but it’s about time people got pulled up for some of the utter crap that gets spouted on here.

Genuine Ferrari owners and lovers have to put up up with being told they’re not proper drivers if they don’t have a certain gearbox, they’re not proper enthusiasts if they like the modern cars, they’re driving a rusting piece of **** if it wasn’t delivered to this pathetic little island, they have no idea about the history of the marque if they like shields, blah blah blah
It’s no wonder most normal people think Ferrari owners are total wankers.

And then the moment someone returns serve and calls out this pretentious BS, it’s
“Oh, poor widdle whoever. You’re all so mean...”

    Give me a break.

its obvious there is some car snobs out there that look down on non AUS delivered cars. Same as postcode snobs. You get looked down on because of the postcode you live in. My father in law is a classic example. Thinks people that live out Penrith way live there because they cant afford to live anywhere else and the area is cheap. Yet got quite a surprise to find that my home was worth way more than his 1.5mil inner city home.

I suppose you must be pov if you cant afford an AUS delivered car then according to some people I've spoken too. Seems like you get judged like the same way you get judged on were you live.

Well if this helps I bought an Australian delivered Ferrari 360 spider F1 that now has 99,000 Klm on it ,the gearbox will probably hold out for another year or so the interior is worn the wheels tatty close up ,paint around the skirting is chipped, roof worn and needs numerous little bits n bobs . It will never be perfect I doubt I could ever sell it, but It’s our First Ferrari And we drove it home 9 hours from Melbourne with the top down in the winter, my wife’s face was a picture ,We will never forget that day.The car has become a member of the family and gives people in the local area an awful lot of pleasure when we’re out and about especially around the areas we first lived when I used to detail cars for a quid, people who don’t know the difference between an import a hot rod what’s proper or not in the sports car world,It’s just a special moment in their day when they see A Ferrari because it will not happen again for months or years if at all .We are all in the same boat ,we see these things every day if we so choose we open the garage door and there it is.
    That’s a privilege .
