You have a serious comprehension problem ........ learn to read FFS The major service to pull the engine out change the cambelts and replace all fluids is far less than $3k Your IQ wouldn't register in an earthquake
Boring...... been covered, your a tool, move on.... Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Yep, does a top job and if something is not right he drives down to your house and fixes it for free ........ if you can read the invoice better than Commy348
I'm wondering if Phil is posting on his behalf, actually. Just like Phil, even when faced with the facts, he continues to claim he's right!
Also, since when has a water pump been included in a cambelt service as well as an oil change ?? Those items alone drop the service below $3k so I suppose again I'm technically a liar so I better throw in a bag of jelly beans to make up the difference
Gee, “Troy” is beginnning to sound exactly like his dad. Who is supposed to be banned. Unless Troy owns a 355 as well?
That is very good value, but you’re pushing the boat a fair way out if you think 2014 is the same as 2018. Surely you could add $500 at least to that number now. Still good, mind.
true....however, even at $120ph, it's less than $2000 labour for an engine out belt change/major service...AT TODAY'S RATES. Parts are a few hundred dollars, so still less than $3k TODAY, unless there's something wrong with the car. Once every 5 years, btw....over 5 years, the difference in service costs between a 355 and 360 is negligible. With either one, if something else is wrong, watch that $$$ amount go through the roof. 360 owners hate hearing that though. You also don't need a suspension rebuild every 10 mins with a 355.....but I digress.
I just dug out the invoice for my last engine out service in late 2015. Just under $4400, which I thought was very reasonable. At the end of the day, if you do it, say, every four years that’s not much more than $1k per year. Hardly the stuff of the nightmare ownership crap that certain journos and other clowns like to play up. If you’re not prepared to pay a couple of k a year for maintenance stick to a Porschezzzzzzz....
After reading through this my 328 has been dirt cheap in comparison in the 10 years that I've owned it,,granted I did two belt changes myself though so we're not comparing apples to apples..(but I do recall being quoted $1500 to do the belts/bearings..) Parts for that were around $400.....$100 on a set or iridium spark plugs,$400 for a set of new ignition leads,$50 on the air filter, $35 oil filter, $60 for 10 litres of oil,$100 brake fluid/coolant..$800 for a set of new tyres(I'm up for a new set now) Things on the 'to do list' are suspension refurb which will include suspension bushes and a refurb of the shocks.. I have 80% of the parts for that job but just need to find the time..
