A new car in Aus is subject to LCT. A second hand Aus delivered car is not. A second hand car from OS is subject to LCT, unless prev here.

 

I paid lct on my used 2001 Australia delivery car it starts when your car gets up over $65k in nsw if I remember rightly $4k plus to rego car coming from vic [emoji849]

top tip: buy a 30+ year old car, put it in historic rego for $50 a year, give less money to the government, have just as much fun driving it
