Well he may have to do that to sell it, it's been on the market for at least 8 months. The demand is for original, not modified cars in excellent condition which have been selling for similar $$$$ . The welded cage will require some care to remove, also with a cage it's not registerable as a road car in most states which won't help sales. As it is the car is setup for tarmac rallies and if that's the goal then there are cheaper / better / faster cars (not necessarily Ferrari ) available for that.
