Well he may have to do that to sell it, it's been on the market for at least 8 months. The demand is for original, not modified cars in excellent condition which have been selling for similar $$$$ . The welded cage will require some care to remove, also with a cage it's not registerable as a road car in most states which won't help sales. As it is the car is setup for tarmac rallies and if that's the goal then there are cheaper / better / faster cars (not necessarily Ferrari ) available for that.
Y'know back in the days before dual lanes going up the Pac Hwy to Bris (yes I'm that old!),you'd end up being tailendcharlie in a looong line of traffic.. You could almost start a book on which vehicle was the instigator of said line:Landrover (of any type),Kombi or a bloody diesel Hilux.!
