A game that is popular at teenagers parties these days is called "goon of fortune" The goon bag is hung from a Hills Hoist and everyone stands around the clothes line as the Hills Hoist is set in motion The person nearest the goon bag when it stops has to skull as much as they can I have no recollection of ever playing that game at any party I went to in my youth Is it a new game or did I lead a sheltered life ?
My wife and I play that game at home except I always stand in the spot where I know the hills hoist jams against its ****ed bearing.......
Sounds like a variation on several drinking games. I'm most impressed that teenagers know WTF a Hills Hoist is. Do they wonder if there's an app to operate it?
This is lovely but of course left to rhs conversation which whileI’m no expert on the subject,I imagine if done correctly it doesn’t compromise handling The question is ,do they structurally alter the car in order to perform the conversion? If not could it be reversed back to factory spec LHD Curious https://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/details/Ferrari-308-1978/OAG-AD-15435136 Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
That car owes someone a LOT of money! Conversion is a piece of cake and wouldn't compromise anything, if it's done well.
Yep I can only imagine, I’d have it regardless of conversion,I sympathise with the guy who restored it ,It would have been heartbreaking to let it go Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Not a Ferrari, but anyway lets call it a brother: http://www.brooklandscc.com/cars/view/619 Oh, and i like this but NFI what it is? http://www.brooklandscc.com/cars/view/462
as I said back in January, Mario at Zag was trying to get me into one of their 458s - asking price was $350k, he was happy to let it go for low 3's. 6 months on, and with the glut of 458s on the market, things haven't improved. As your saying goes, make an offer - chances are you're the only person who's made one in a long time
I remember the first issue of Unique Cars had a genuine Alfa of this type and age. It had racing history and was for sale for something like $40K.! I buggered up my reply re the Alfa repro.
Here is an article re these things. Don't know if this is one of the two but the Aussie is built on an Alfa chassis. https://www.***************.com/car/1716/Alfa-Romeo-6C-2500-SS-Le-Mans-Berlinetta.html
Well that ^^^^ didn't work!. I wonder if this is the thing I was thinking of.. http://carsforsale.sportscardigest.com/touring-treasure-1947-alfa-romeo-6c-2500-berlinetta/
Really? I was hoping the 458s would keep going down and the 308s (at least my QV) would keep going up, so I could do a swap in a few years. The 308s have come off a bit, and the 458s (at least from what I can see) seem to be bouncing.
458s will continue going down, have you seen how many are on the market at the moment? More than 360 or 430. Even worse for 488, 30 cars for sale - same as California!
I think everything has started heading south in Australia.....The Dollar, property and cars.....IMO the whole market is starting a large correction........Unless you have blue chip cars I think the values will keep heading down as supply will outstrip demand.......
+1 I haven't been around as long as some (most) old farts here on the forum, but surely Australia can't sustain these over-valued property, currency, car markets forever. I have been working 7 days a week for the last 12+ months trying to smash away some of my property debt so when it does come crashing down and I have to sell I will at least walk away with something. Well....................hopefully I can walk away with something.
