Right on the nose. The 360 head light treatment is its worse feature visually, imho. 355 retained the earlier hidden lights. Thats got to matter to some more than many other features, with these cars being judged on visual appeal above all in many cases.
The Ferrari importer brought some in for the GP support race years ago, but they were not aussie spec cars, hence not 'aussie delivered' cars in the real sense and did not have aussie compliance plates. All challenge cars were motronic 2.7 and were privately complied by the people who purchased them after the cars had finished with their racing. The first one I know of to be complied was, in fact, Millards car. No one thought it could be done until that stage, and it's what got me hot on the idea of buying one.
Just listed on Carpoint I think? 1997 456 auto for $119K! Its an auto, but would make a nice family hack if the price was right. http://www.carpoint.com.au/used-car/FERRARI/456/New%20South%20Wales/csn7017364.aspx
I would agree with that M. Saw a white 430 spyder in Sydney (Parklea) this morining (or was it yesterday morning??) and I didn't even see it drive past me until my passenger pointed it out to me.
Bargain, and and the colour is OK too, but you'd pray the auto transmission was OK. I wonder what the wholesale on that would have been ? 100k M
Keep away from autos Paps. Evidently if the box goes they are basically worthless. Unrepairable from what 360C has posted in the past. I like the 456 as well and as you have suggested a great family car, particularly when you have little ones like me. I love the wine red colour, can't recall the exact name. Looks fantastic IMO.
Yes, a nice car mate. Auto box, I know I know! I reckon $100K too, but who knows??? Probably bought for $80K! I know ALL about those auto's mate. Actually, here is a current thread on a "broken one" and there is actually someone that has chimed in claiming he co-designed them and he CAN actually repair them in the UK! http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=237777
