Is it my eyes or does that car look resprayed and (potentially) retrimmed? Nice looker though, but wow that's all the money and then some.
Mark (Mk-e) finally has his engine running. I think the weight difference is only about 30 lbs and the TR headed 400 is 3 inches lower in the chassis. Will be interesting to see it drive. John
Bought my first home in Ipswich in 1978 for $20,000, deceased estate .............. the best house in the street was $110,000 but it had 5 bedrooms , 3 bathrooms and a 4 car garage . Most houses in the street could be bought for less than $30,000 ........... I wished I had bought the entire street now !!! Dino 246s were $17,000 new in '72
I bought my first house when I was 18. $26,500 at Newmarket. Didn't qualify for the $ 4,000 First Home Owner's Grant.
I had a school mate who worked on the milk rounds from an early age, while most of us were riding around the dirt tracks on bikes we’d dragged out of the river (literally), he saved up and bought a brand new Honda CR80 Elsinore, that thing was lethal!, hats off Wes I’m sure you put in a lot of diligent work to get that 1st home
Looks like it even has the original Good Year Eagles fitted. Not sure why the roof spoiler was painted, but not a big job to return it to the correct colour.
Yeah, nice! I purchased an investment property first in 2000 while living at home, so I didn't get the $10K first home owners grant in 2001 when I purchased my home to live in lol. Should have done it the other way around.
Jeez you must be about the only person who didn’t lie about where they lived when they bought their first house! Cheesed me off no end when a girl in my office ‘bought’ a first home (deposit by mum and dad) and got every grant going, stayed maybe one night and then rented it out...
I think you will find all 328 GTBs have body coloured spoilers only GTSs had black. I have never seen a 328 GTB with a black spoiler. The black matches the targa top on the GTS.
There are two young fellas on my Crew now, both in their mid 20's, both still live at home with their parents and both have saved $100K+ deposits and have been looking to purchase their own homes. They could have purchased a long time ago, but I think they enjoy bludging off Mum and Dad at home lol.
And that is one of the many defining features of this generation that I just cannot understand. What kind of soft cock would stay at home longer than necessary? I was out of there as soon as I finished high school, and I had a fantastic home life. Just wanted to get out and experience real life. Everyone did, back then (1990).
Same, I left home in 1973, went to Mt Isa, then the RAAF by 23 after getting married the first time This lot of millenials are truly the soft cocks of the universe ....... Troy, 26, still lives with his mother !!!
