My memory of driving one is , going to put fuel in it and the fuel tank flap wouldn't open as the cable had snapped.
Yeah, well my memory of driving a Roller convertible is someone yelling out “wanker!” Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Bah! All easy fixes. The good thing about that car is the interior. Not ****ed with and just the right amount of patina. So many Dinos are ruined by using the wrong mouse hair fabric. The proper stuff is available but expensive and worth every penny as the stuff most use is just horrible
246 has the best induction noise of any Ferrari. Great steering feel and turn in. Car feels surprisingly good on the road at high speed. Cabin feels airy and special. Way cooler than a Mondial too
The original mouse hair isn't available at all. The best repro stuff has too long a nap compared to the original. When I restored my 246 I re-dyed the original rather than replace it.
A good friend of mine a previous Dino owner, of various 308s and many other Ferrari cars, always said the Dino was the last Ferrari road car that felt like a road-going racecar. A current 458 owner /991 owner.
Yes it is, sort of. These guys have reproduced it and is a close to perfect as you can get https://www.hvlclassleathers.com/dashboard-upholstery/ Image Unavailable, Please Login
...horse in grill, clear front indicator lenses, black paint in wrong place on nose/rear, non ansa exhaust/tips ?, no top cap on jack, no dinoplex cover, no clamp on air cleaner snorkel, no cover on alternator fuse box (modified and different fuses - probably better ), no foam - radiator to bonnet, un-original battery isolator, washer tube going into wrong hole, extra yellow button on dash, all at a glance...... Nice paint and interior. I suppose it would want to be at that price.
