There's been some kind of exposive mutation of mindless Lamorossa clones.

Where's the Men In Black? We may need some high tech stuff to kill them all......

So sorry Rob, this site concept held such promise for Ferrari owners and enthusiasts. It stinks now like a Bagdad slum.

Wasnt the original GT40 produced by ford because Mr ford wanted to buy Ferrari and Mr Ferrari said no, so Mr ford said right well copy youre cars and beat you on the race track, and all these years later they are still copying Mr ferraris cars, plain enough for you. PS get a life,

Actually it is... I have a snapshot of Scott "Lil Bull" in front of it at the Autorama. He thought it was "tight".

I guess I need to move him out of that neighborhood he's in........

I agree with you Allan. I mean what is the deal with new people coming in and just trashing this place with mindless posts?

I don't have a Ferrari, I am here, but not starting retarded posts like these. Sigh, people like him give other non owners who have tremendous respect for the board and the people on it, a very bad name.

Time to hit the ignore button.

I can't hit it fast enough!

It's easier just to quit the site, actually.

I don't think the paid fee will fix it, IMO.

It's amazing the difference between US and other areas users.

When the new 360 is out with the new engine we'll see. Ford GT 3400-3500lbs with 500hp. Ferrari 420 3100lb with 480 hp. We'll see who's king. That ford is stunning in person though. Saw one at the Auto show in Dallas and it was beautiful. Ditch the stripes though. I am not that nostalgic. At the end of the day it is still a ford with a supercharged truck motor in it. The Ferrari oozes Formula 1 technology. race them on the track all day and the ford will surely not be the last one standing. Of course that's what evryone said before ford crushed Ferrari in Le Mans with the original GT40.

You can dress up a pig in many ways.... but it is still a pig!

And as for the notion that the existence of a Ford GT represents a Ferrari Killer, that is simply ridiculous. How many Ferrari owners will rush out and dump their Ferraris in order to buy a Ford? Maybe 2 or three misguided souls. The rest will look at the GT and understand "it's still a Ford".

It sounds wonderful and looks great, but it's no substitute for the "real" GT40. It's kinda like the neighborhood kid buying a Shaq Lakers outfit thinking he can play ball.Maybe on the playground, but not in the NBA.

I would like to agree, but keep in mind that the Ford GT realistically produces 550hp. 500hp was an estimate provided by Ford before final production testing was completed. I know from reliable Ford sources that the car produces slightly more than 550hp. Even if the 360 successor produces 480hp, it will probably still be way behind in torque vs the Ford GT. I honestly don't think Ferrari will produce a 360 successor that will outperform the brute force of the Ford GT. If they do, I will be very surprised and very happy to see that they are not shying away from hp and torque.

im just wondering who these tools are that come to this board and post something that says, "ferrari killer" or "i hate ferraris my ricer is faster than anyone's car on this board and this makes me feel good and by the way i have a bigger penis"

at least contribute to the discussion by talking about the car and how it relates to "killing ferraris". we've discussed this car plenty of times before and have concluded that ford did an excellent job or reintroducing themselves to this market.

i liked the good ol days of the other board....ill be hanging out there if anyone wants to have an intellectual, mature, and passionate conversation about cars....

Tell me how to post a photo here & I'll give you Lee Holman & ME on track in a vintage GT40 at Roebling. It was a very good day. Just read the article in MT comparing new GT40 to Viper. Pretty much even.

Why should any of this bother you ? It does not matter what your favorite
ride is. Guess what ? We all win. The customer ends up with a much better car.

I began driving at the very very end of the muscle car era. What were our
choices ? Lets review for a minute. In the U.S. cars we had 85mph speedos, with 55mph highlighted in a different color from the other #'s. You had artificial air intakes, decals, three speed automatics, and the ongoing detuned engine.

There were quite a few articles that mentioned how this particular car of
the 1970's, would "never" be eclipsed in power output. Sales brochures
never mentioned power output. They mentioned that this hot car had
white letter tires with mag wheels.

What does this has to do with Italian cars ?

Competition improves the breed. Quite a few posters have mentioned the
355, was a result of the NSX. Serious competition will only force the
engineers to produce a better automobile. The Ford GT is serious competition.

Whether or not I have an F-car has ZERO bearing on why it should annoy me. I just happen to believe in the Ferrari mystique and think I have some good reasons as to why a Ford will never be much like a Ferrari. Thats all.

What's wrong with that? Or how would owning a Ferrari make any difference?
