The French Laundry wine stolen

Hope they like to drink it on their own! only place I can think of this coming up for sale is in China ... if it comes up in the USA its going to be easy to trace.

do they make/bottle this wine? value per bottle?
could be an inside job, somebody with knowledge of the building and structure......

They had incredible taste there.

The Screaming Eagle? Methinks the thieves had a buyer, rather than taking it for their own consumption. Just my opinion, based on the three bottles I've had a taste of.

 

Sad , but I really doubt they will find these again. Must be a serious New Years bash..

Makes ya wonder what damage was done to the wine during transport... I wonder how the FL's insurance will handle this.

 

I would not want it back...I would ask the insurance to pay...yes no telling what it has been though...

 

Have there been any details on the NC end of this story? I could not find anything online as to whether charges had been (would be) filed against the receiver of these stolen bottles of wine…T

I have not seen anything in the regional press about the Greensboro connection. Rumor has it that the stolen DRCs and the Screaming Eagle were hidden behind a number of cases of Canyon Road Cab.

 

Reminds me of a story, perhaps real, in the late 80s a doctor in Florida was reading some used car ad's and thought that sounds like my GTO re-read it and thought **** I should check my garage and sure enough someone had stolen his GTO and so he made brief contact and passed it along to the police. It wasnt a difficult case to solve........
