Congratulations! I hope you drive it often so that others may enjoy seeing one of these cars on the road. It is always a special sighting to see a Dino its proper environment.
Jim, Fantastic, I can only envy you, and to see yours finished gives me inspiration to keep on ploughing through the mundane toil and filth to reach the ultimate goal. Congratulations and well deserved excellent results! Graham
you should be banned, I can hardly stand to look, Uhg, gag and that yellow one, you better send that one over to me quick before someone else becomes ill. LOL
Thanks guys. I appreciate the comments. Now a Euro with yellow headlights, meeting French market specifications. Interior to be completed next week. Gray carpet, Daytona black with red insert seats. New wiring harness (homemade). Every nut and bolt new. Drives like a new car. Solid. Seems like there is more power with the optical pickup and MSD system I wanted the yellow headlights and amber Euro directionals to provide color to the gray. Looks good, but then again, I am biased. Thanks all. Jim S.
Jim, absolutely spectacular color / lights and directional combo. I love it. Always wanted to know what the yellow lights looked like and think they are awesome. Do you have the front access panel (where the front plate would normally mount to)? In noticed quite a few early cars have those missing. Just wonder if there is a market out there if someone were to reproduce them... Congratulations and again great color choice (I'm a little biased)! Pietro 01296
Pietro - no, this car never had the front access panel for the license tag. My other Dino does have it. I would be interested in obtaining an aftermarket creation. And yes, this is a driver. I used Phillips instead of slotted screws in several places. Hence, no longer a show car, but it sure drives nicely. Thanks. Jim S.
Congratulations, looks fine. Where in California are you? Love to se a Euro Dino and compare the details. You are always welcome in Santa Barbara if you want to put a few miles on. John
Jim What a peach. I am trying to source yellow headlights for a red RHD U.K Dino. What lights did you use? Are they high output? I want to also use the perspex faired over headlight covers. Best Tim
You're hiding a yellow 246 in the background. What's the chance of getting a pic of them both together ?? Would look terrific.
Tim - Yellow lights are listed on Maranello Concessionares Website as "French Specification". They came as a complete unit, including bucket. They are not sealed beams, and hence the bulb can be replaced. Dignini - E2THE X - only Electrical Engineers will understand. John - Orange County. I will get some shots of the two cars together. Colors are quite coordinated (or is that contrasting?). Thanks. Jim S.
Jim, The car looks great. I love the headlights! They look like the dual bulb Carellos. Out of curiocity, what wattage are the bulbs and how bright is the resulting light? Regards, Art S.
Art - very bright - however, I do not know the wattage. Dual filament bulbs for main and high beams. Jim S.
Jim, That's a beautiful car! Congratulations on getting this far and I wish you a quick completion to the interior. I second the request for pics with both Dinos together. Enjoy in good health
If that's a Boxer peaking out from under the cover, it would be a swell addition to the Dino duetto. Perhaps an additional pic?
Boy, you guys have good eyes. Yes, the yellow Dino and Red/black Boxer will be included in the next pictures. Silver Dino now with windshield wipers, headlight rims, and suspension alignment. Jim S.
Jim, Did you mean that there are 2 single filament hallogen bulbs (H1 or H2) per light? If so, I think they are similar to ones that I have ordered. Very cool looking and I'm expecting a lot of light for my night time drives! Regards, Art S.
