#5 has happened already with 3 garagistes signed up.

#2 is basically done: The new agreement is very much like the Concorde agreement.

Signed up yes but their viability is not yet proven.
The agreement calls for a Concorde agreement to be finalized but does not do so itself.
BTW 3 is implicit in 1.
I'm not saying that you might not be proven right but not quite yet.

For folks like you and me, yes. But take a look at all those posts of the people who honestly believe Ferrari would be better off leaving F1 (irrespective of the split) and race at Le Mans instead.

I too don't think FOTA "compromised" with Max to sign basically the same concord agreement. Which implies that Max was in control and got what he wanted from FOTA. Seems to me FOTA told Max they would sign the agreement as long as they can rewrite it to fit their demands...oh and told Max not to let the door hit him in the a$$ on the way out. Not much of a compromise...more like an order that FOTA was in complete control of. ;)

I think there were many (me included) who believed that a breakaway wouldn't happen......as long as Max was ousted. However, if Max was left in power I believe FOTA were serious in their claims to start a breakaway. Seems they definitely had the fans support.

    True dat.

I'm equally sure, that the threat of a pirate series/split is not off the table. This ugly monster will come up again one day. Hopefully it'll never become a reality because it would be nothing but a loose/loose situation. There I go again...

Of course not, nobody involved with this business wants to reduce their stock.
Yep and the teams will buckle more than you think, because they have no balls. And the show will get more razzle and dazzle but the racing will be even harder to find ... :(.
Unfortunately true, because again Ferrari have no balls AND only view F1 has $'s profit now.
Hopefully because they might actually be their to race, instead of hold PR parties and give corporations BJ's.
Who cares only 2 teams are ever competitive anyway.
Find this hard to believe, but if true it is only because the generation that actually knows what motorsport really is is dying off and this current generation of fans (?) are brain washed into believing that grid girls, parties and generally wanking about is actually somehow motorsport.
Yes because the organisers do not have the balls to make seriously challenging and good rule changes that will challenge engineers like they USED to in the old days, ie: 1.5 litre formula that had the closest racing of all F1 time. If I was the boss I'd introduce a 2 litre formula, flat floor, wings must fit in this box and slick tyres with SMALLER fronts (thus reducing braking and turn in speed, improving passing opportunities) and otherwise do as you like ...
    Hope so.
    Well they like their BJ's
Yep and they will finish around the same place in the table for the next atleast 3 years. Unless they hire a car developer like Vettel or Alonso.

Could you do me a personal favor and predict that Kovalainen will go to the NASCAR truck series along with Piquet Jr.?

And also #9 has come true:

Most economists now agree that the recession probably ended at some point last summer.

    Thanks Neuro and bdelp.

Turns out that we still might have to wait to Bahrain to find out whether #5 really will become true or not:

So far we got Lotus and Virgin. Whether Campos, USF1 and Stefan GP will be able to create the 3rd new team is at this point a bit of a question mark.
