Thank you; I was actually going to ask if you had a photo of the car from the rear, which I see is the second linked photo.

This looks like alien technology from the future! I cannot wait to see and read more about this car…T

Yes, I'm guessing the button is probably one if those new black buttons appearing on the steering wheel.

"Fast charge" is the fourth Manettino setting, which is pretty self-explanatory.

The other two Manettino settings we've not yet mentioned are "Qualify" which is for max battery performance, albeit only for a few laps (I'm presuming that means it discharges the batteries at a faster rate than charging them, which means they'll eventually run out) and "Long run" which is for running a sustainable charge throughout sessions.

Comparing the looks - Ferrari did a great job. The FXXK is stunning, has the basic appeal of LaF but at the same time is genially different showing its XX-development program character.

What's with the elongated rear diffuser? Obviously those extra fins improve the downforce somehow, but I've never seen such a shape in a diffuser... any comments?

Does anyone have a clue if this monster will hit the track during the Finali Mondiali?

Oh, and what about these vents just below the rear lights? The same "Actiflow" system as used in the 599 xx?

The XX program is expensive, you don't get to drive the car much, the factory keeps the car, it's not road legal, you have to fly out to tracks ..... hold on ... it looks incredible ...

    I WANT ONE!

You can keep the car if you want to, it's just more practical to have the factory deal with shipping it all over the map and maintaining it.

    You should get one!

    It won't.

From what I can see it just looks like they're cooling outlet vents, since I can't see any nozzle like in the center of the 599 brake light assembly on 599XX.

Reports say 32 will be built and priced at €2.2M, and that they've all been sold. I don't believe they've all been sold, my dealer told me very recently he was still lining up potential customers.

I'll await official word on the build number, 32 is a bit of an unsymbolic choice IMO. They'll probably end up building 35-40, but I would have expected an official number of say, 29.

I was offered one or say been invited for a preview but didn't see the use of it really.

But I have to admit it's art.

I can understand that. The car has a limited use, but offers a truly unique and unprecedented experience for those willing to take it on. When you're in the financial position of being able to consider such a car, I assume running costs shouldn't be something you worry about either.

Another slightly more clinical aspect when considering XX ownership, is the lack of appreciation when looking back on the current values of FXX and 599XX. I don't see why this should change on FXX K. Niche car, with a niche use, for the niche client. The majority of those who are seriously interested in running one, are most likely people in who'll be able to get one the first time around. That leaves a largely empty room for those selling, and reflects on the XX second-hand market today.

Raffa, Dario etc. they live the lives we dream. I hope a biography of Dario Benuzzi's time with Ferrari finds its way once he retires. Test driven and developed every single Ferrari since the 246 Dino...
