Guys I am not sure if its a repost but still nice to look at. Photos of Ferrari FXX K Hybrid : theTHROTTLE
How much input do you get regarding the livery of the car? We have only see the wonderful red/silver/black version thus far. I'd love to see FXX K in something dark and clean in the manner of your LaF. Congratulations!
I find the livery actually very attractive especially the manner in which the stripes connect with the front lights. The tristrata Rosso Corsa is also lovely and the roof isn't black but dark grey and the combo really works. Mine will be TdF blue with bis co Fuji stripes. Am still "working" on what to do with the roof as in any event it has to be a different colour - this car needs that differentiation. I will work on it and let you know!!!
Y'all get three guesses on our color scheme. I will ignore guesses #1 and #2 Peter, I think blue's going to work wonderfully on the FXX K. I look forward to seeing your renderings!
Read today that the €2.5M includes full support for 2 years worth of events. Not just 2 events as has been the norm, but 2 years of events (14-16 meetings). That makes it a bargain then, although I wouldn't be surprised if this is a misquote by R&T (Peter could you shed some light on this?)... It seems awfully generous of Ferrari to hand out all-inc XX cars, which aren't exactly inexpensive to run. Nicola Boari (Product Marketing Manager) was quoted in saying the first 10-15 cars would be ready by May 2015. He confirmed an Evoluzione after 2 years (shocker..).
Firstly, the price of 2,5 is wrong, how the press love to inflate!!! When we talk about including events, it refers to entry fees. Your consumables, you pay for which is only normal. After all if one client uses one set of tyres and another 3 sets.... No doubt there will be an Evo in 2 years. The feedback from the track will allow development work so it should be quite exciting. Just look at the step up the FXX and 599 XX made when their respective Evo packages were brought out. The XX programmes will continue with more participants. We are already seeing newcomers to the 599 XX and this just goes to underline the success of this unique programme.
Just a detail question, but is the rosso Corsa on the FXXK a "regular" rosso Corsa or a three layer paint? To me the red appears to be much deeper than the rosso Corsa on the LaF.
Thank you for the clarification Peter. So have I understood it correctly the entry fee for 2 years of CC is included this time around, but understandbly not consumables? Do you have any information regarding how long Ferrari will continue to include FXX/599XX in the CC events? After x amount of iterations there will be a physical limit on how many cars you can support and run.
ferrari will continue to run the FXX and 599 XX that is for sure. After 10 years there are fewer FXXs still entered on a regular basis but I see no problem for Ferrari running a 30/35 car event. There have been times when Ferrari has run more than 15 F1 cars without there being an issue - and those are really complicated to run!!! Especially as there are so many different versions. This is what Ferrari do well, so have no concerns. I certainly don't!!
Thanks again Peter. As you run an F2008, would you happen to know the personel per car ratio at CC events? Do some cars require extra personel, or all they all run with the same skeleton spec crew (but with applicable data support depending on age etc.)? If I may get into detail; are the post-2008 cars with the control ECU simpler to run than say 97-07 cars? Finally, a trivial question; do you know if Ferrari will allow KERS-era cars into the events, and if so, will they disable the KERS system?
Thanks Peter for letting us in on this great experience. This car has got to be one of craziest, coolest Ferrari's in a long time. Ferrari should make a street model. -F
There are pretty much the same number of people for each car. The more modern ones require sophisticated computer systems with engineers who know how to run them. I certainly would not call the crew a skeleton crew though!! The more modern cars are more complex because of their technology but in general more reliable
Can someone please be so kind and enlighten me on what is in the picture between the seats at the driver's face level? Circled in yellow. Thanks in advance. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I guess its support for the right shoulder and the head of driver because this thing hits some big g's in corners
Actually the biggest part is an head protection and the left part is on the door for what i've seen so far. You've got the same thing around the driver's head in the LMP1 cars. then the small part is the shoulder seat's upholstery.
