With a car that recognizeable and publicized, the buzz of rolling that car across the block is a no brainer for everyone involved.

I'm also thinking this car really never sold, nothing more than a shill buy from Reggie Jackson to boost both shows ratings.

The most unsettling part to me is how they cut the motor mounts off of the frame and welded them in a different spot to match the engine. How does that even happen?

Awesome in-summation post, one for the FChat Hall of Fame, this really made me laugh!

Perhaps the re-builders uttered the now-immortal automotive cliché: "It should hold..."

I think they hope for two drunks, tv cameras, and a heavy need to impulse buy

Supposedly Reggie Jackson bought the car, but who really knows.

This reminds me of another now-immortal quote: "Hey...hold onto my beer and watch this".

I especially like the description saying " it hit a fence, severe damage reported, minor right side damage reported"... Nice "description".....
