I'm resisting the urge to watch live timing for the Monaco GP on Sunday morning and reluctantly recording the CBS coverage so I can watch the race when I get back home from the Barber Museum. NOBODY BETTER MENTION HOW THE RACE CAME OUT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Forza Ferrari!
With Schumacher and Massa on the back row in Monaco, I don't think we have much of a chance - I'll be surprised if we even get in the points - All I can hope for at this point is a couple of Renault DNFs. Let's let Kimi win this one again - Or even Mark Webber! See you guys tomorrow.
sorry to hear it Eric, I was hoping to see the 365 GT4 ! ok guys the kelly and I are hitting the road, we should be there around 9:30ish someone give me a call (615)495-2410 and give me an updated ETA, See you all later on, John
We are on schedule. We're in Atlanta and are leaving the hotel around 8:45 Eastern time. We need to stop for breakfast and fuel and it looks to be a little over two hours to get there. I'll call ND as we get to the GA/AL border.
Update! Update! Manny and FarmerDave are taking Dr. Cosgrove's detour around some Atlanta traffic problems. Their new ETA is 11:15 at the Barber Museum (it doesn't even open until noon, anyway, so this may be a good moment for us all to snap some pictures with them and perhaps suggest lunch before a museum tour). I just got off of the phone with them and they are PUMPED about seeing our Alabama contingent and Barber Track! I'll now be making cell phone calls to everyone who PM'd me with their phone info to re-iterate the above. Lurkers, you have a little extra time now to make the gathering (11:15 AM instead of 10 AM).
Thanks to Drew, Mike, Branko, Roy, John, and everyone else for showing up to give a thumbs up to Manny and FarmerDave. A good time was had by all, and their roadtrip Ferrari flag has been officially signed! I know that some of you tried but couldn't work out your schedules to make it. No problem. Enough showed up to give Manny and Dave a great welcome, and there's always the next time (though Dave's talking about buying on the West Coast to make a road trip from the other direction...IN THE FALL OR WINTER, THOUGH!).
