Can we get a mod to merge JDZnates thread into this one.
That appears to be the Marussia B2: http://www.autoblog.nl/archive/2009/09/12/teaser-van-de-marussia-b2 The B1 and B2 will be introduced in Frankfurt.
I saw this mentioned in Autoblog... after hearing about its drivetrain I'm a little upset.... 245 hp?! my truck makes more than that lol and its a 5 speed manual not a 5 speed automatic!
It'll probably handle like an elephant in a china store. Anyway. Atleast the design is more striking than the new Mclaren.
Should be an easy one. DB6? If it's a DB6, Mk I or II? etc. I'd like as specific as possible Thanks in advance Image Unavailable, Please Login
It's a MkI. By the way, where did you get the picture? This exact same car (NAN 507D) is featured in the February 1989 issue of Classic Cars magazine.
Thanks! I took the picture, spotted in London on Haymarket on June 26. I wish I'd been able to get more than that one picture Especially now that I know it was in a magazine. I was busy taking pictures of a DBS when it drove by. Do you know what year it is, and what color interior? Here are three more. The 1st is again embarrassingly easy, I know it's a Bentley at least. The second I think is a Bentley as well? The 3rd I'm pretty sure is a Maserati 3500 GT but would just like to confirm it. Unfortunately these 4 cars were some of the very few vintage cars I saw during my 6 weeks in London this summer. I was disappointed in how everyone has brand new cars and nobody has any taste to buy any vintage ones Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Nice photos and I'm impressed the owners actually take them beyond their estates. I defer to Wayne and Lee for true authentication, however the first photo seems to be an S2 Flying Spur. I'm terrible with identifying pre-war cars, the middle photo may be a Bentley but it looks too small. I have no idea what it is, I'll wait for the Kings to appear. You're correct on the last photo, it's a Mazzer 3500 Vignale Spider. Gorgeous in any colour but, wow, that is spectacular. Thanks for sharing.
I concur on the SII Flying Spur and 3500 Spider, but I don't immediately recognize the third car. Not that I can't identify it, just that it will take a little time.
i think it's a bentley...but who knows anymore...unless you look up the numberplate with the bently owners culb for [perhaps] actual specs.. guesses...actual 4.5 swb with original coachwork..3.0, shortened with 4.5 engine...3.0/4.5 on standard chassis foreshortened by photo..blown/unblown..if it came through stanley mann...well, all bets are off...
Excellent work. Here's your culprit: http://www.pa-wood.co.uk/preowned/classic-bentley/open-tourer-vanden-plas-1928.shtml Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
that's nice.. but do we know what it really is??? these bentley guys play mix-n-match better than most...take your old 3.0 lwb saloon, add a 4.5 engine and throw a vandenplas fabric body on it and then add more lamps, badges, switches, straps, manhole size filler caps as the gods will allow... or it's a nicely restored original car. i dunno....
ok ok..so i read the ad..i believe every word of it....p&a wood could never stray from the truth.. that's the real deal..no foolin'..i'm wrong ...lord-a-mighty strike me dead!!!! [is the car in the ad XV 1471 ?]
I haven't been able to confirm that, but careful examination (what little can be done considering the original photo and the lack of a rear shot of the P&A Wood car) reveals that even the most minute of details are a perfect match. My guess is that the two are one and the same.
sweet-lord-a-jesus....if you look at EVERY open fabric bentley they all have cord bound springs, helmet lamps, headlamp screens, brookland AND regular windscreens, the asformentioned gaping oil-gas-champagne double lever-overcenter filler caps....it's almost as if they all were cloned from the same seed...nah..who would do that.
You're welcome! The S2 Flying Spur I saw a few times in London, that one definitely gets out and about. Thank you all three! You guys always amaze me
Some more easy ones As specific as possible would be great! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Especially the Bentley! 1st Rolls is in South Bend, IN 2nd Rolls is in Chicago, IL 3rd Rolls is in London Bentley is in London Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
First three are Aston Martin V8 Vantages... Built from 1977-1989 with a total of 534 being built. 192 of those were convertibles (Volante) 4th one is an Alfa Romeo not sure of the model (Maybe GT Veloce from the late 60's and early 70s) 5th I think is a Rolls-Royce Phantom VI with what seems like a shorter wheelbase than most others...
1. Rolls Royce Phantom II (?) 2. Rolls Royce Phantom III (?) 3. Rolls Royce Phantom I (?) I wanna say the 4th is a Bentley S1 or S2 but the front end looks a little off. Maybe custom coachwork? I'm not 100% on any of them and only had a chance to do a little research and try and figure it out... I love these car sleuth games but am terrible with the super old-school stuff
