Thanks to each of you that responded, I did find the ofending fastner, hidden behind the speaker grill. A 10mm bolt holding the door panel to the door skin where it takes the most abuse ajacent to the hand grip door pull.

The panels are off and will be repaired, treated, and recolored. With any luck at all the interior will be reinstalled in time for Candy's birthday next Saturday. I have been told that this car at one time was black. Now that the interior is totally removed, I find no evidence that the color was anything other than red. If it was another color the body must have been totally stripped and painted. There is no evidence of over spray on any rubber seal, chrome mouldings or behind any part I've removed so far.

The doors are red inside the shells and around the bottom. I removed the latches and light and its was red under there as well. I find red under the deck lid around all hinges and in area that would be next to impossible to spray with the car assembled. I can not find the color number supposed to be under the rear deck lid.

Well again, thanks to this site and you guys I was able to get the job done with out damaging anything.

    Regards,

    Howard Musolf
