I'm not going to get into another thread on this sad subject, but when I read this again earlier I did quietly laugh to myself about the various broken promises

 

Final comment, I nearly sold my two complete bumpers to someone who bought some other bits for £200, if you check Eurospares website for how much they charge, I could have easily been out of pocket by about £300 by having to replace them

 

The only thing different on this thread as to when I started is the fact that I had to sell the Stack dash as I had miscalculated the price of building a garage.

I intend in the near future to either buy another Stack dash or similar, i.e. P.I. System 2 dash or Aim/Motec dash

I don't know if you have read it, but I have a spinal injury so I just go out and do what I can when I can, I really want to have it done by the end of winter so by easter/spring its already to go, when I get the seat brackets 'finally' finished in the next couple of weeks it will be useable, i've got the door glass out and I will be sending them to plastics4performance shortly to be made in polycarbonate with sliders like on the Gt cars, I have the doors stripped out and have shed 30kgs just on the doors, 15kgs each door, thats the door cards the speakers the glass and the motors & assembly

 

Thats a rather expensive carbon fibre nitrous bottle

 

why are you fanatical about reducing the weight on the car

 

if anyone is interested I am keeping a log, this doesn't include the carbon seat or the harness etc... to be added on, but theres still a lot more to come, hopefully if I can get lightweight bumpers that should be another 20kgs lost:

Because I love watching the Ferrari Classic & Open Challenge and I might possibly go into it in couple of years.

The other main reason is I use my friends 355 a lot and to be honest a normal Mondial Qv will seem like a milkfloat after driving that, i've always wanted a road legal race car so heres the nearest best thing.

 

I think this is going great. The idea of a lightweight Mondial is wonderful.
