Pretty good. Was my 1st day off work after quitting my position with an investment bank after 3+years... felt a little weird actually. Woke up, took the trash out in the 0 degree weather, went to the casino and won some $, came back ate salsa, took a nap, watched a show on Discovery about subways.... now I'm trying to figure out what to do for dinner.
Great day for me (work-wise)... put a few bucks in my pocket today. Then caught up with some old friends. Kids are happy, wife is happy, the dog seems happy. Can't beat it.
Thanks guys. Good thing I have an amazing wife and two great kids or I'd have lost it days ago. -Slim
Got up, my son was on the box or Wheaties, my girlfriend was on the cover of Playboy and my wife was on the milk carton. Great day. jk...old joke...
3RD PART IS INCORRECT.. MY WIFE WAS ON THE MILK CARTON??. REVISED...MY WIFE WAS IN THE DIVORCE LAWYERS OFFICE.......
Hey, hey, hey....it ain't so bad. All you gotta do is call Rosey (With the saucy palm), buy her a couple a dozen cheeseburgers and you'll be fiiiiine. She's a sure thing....unless she has carpal tunnel or digititis. DL
Ok, just got back from snowboarding, and sit back and get ready to laugh. O and I pulled switch backside 180 on the 30ft double. Anyways so my very good friend went with me today and he drove. So from my house to the mts. is exactly to the parking lot 109miles. Round trip 218miles. On the way back I was kinda of tired so I closed my eyes. (my friend has the worse sense of direction possible) So I wake up and Im like jez we should be home by now whats going on? I look around for a min read some signs....... And the all of a sudden i realize Im in Palm springs that is a 40 mins east from the freeway we are suppose to be on. So some how my friend was able to get himself of the 215 south and on to the 10 east with out even him realizing it? It was very intresting. Anyways I'am glad some of you had a great day and also doubled your 401k haha nice. And my heart goes out to those who well... it will get better.
Got up at 7:30 and fought off my 13 month old, Chinese New Year here so everything is closed and everyone's on holiday. Going to bed at 5 pm to get up at 9pm and be at work at 10:30 pm. To spend 18 hours in LA and come home again. Joy.
My day started at 4:40 am (should have been 6:00). My wife woke up screaming as a f***ing baby squirrel ran over the two of us. Last night we heard the little varmits in our attic, today I was to call the exterminator. Anyway, this unfortunate rodent entered the residence proper through a small unifinshed portion of the ceiling in the upstairs furnace vent. I caught him and let him go several blocks down the street. The traps are now set, the supplies for home de-squirreling acquired, and the war has begun. Many squirrels will be moved 5-10 miles if I have anything to do with it. We've only lived in our new house for 10 months and my wife was ready to leave permanently this morning. Five bedrooms, 4500 sq. ft., and now one (or more) uninvited guests. Everybody in my neighborhood feeds the damn things, so why did they choose the bare cupboard of my house? More than one person today has told me that my wife then had two squirrels in bed with her last night. And no, not everyone in Missouri eats squirrel (just about 85%).
Oh yeah...? Well, my day didn't have an ass to be sucked or any suction to suck any ass in the first place...!
Sucked- 65+85+65 minutes of class (i would add that up but i did enough f'ing math to last me until 9 oclock). All time inbetween was spend finsihing an ssignment and studying for calc quiz. My day wouldve been good if i didnt run out of advil or if i wasnt sick to begin with. Since im sick im staying in to study for 3 tests next week and write a circuits lab thats due on tues. At least next fri will be alot better. were having a party (we only have like 3 in a 10 week party). They are expensive ($900 for alc+DJ) but fun. At least i have something to look forward to. Anyone else like to work really hard in anticiaption of something that you can kind of see as a reward to yourself?
[.Anyone else like to work really hard in anticiaption of something that you can kind of see as a reward to yourself?[/QUOE] YEA. I WORK 60 HOURS A WEEK FOR APRIL 15, TAX TIME, AND THEN MY ACCOUNTANT SAYS I OWE MORE............
Ok well, my day is well going ok. I hate some of my clients thow, Everybody expects everything for nothing or close to it! I will give the best deal out there to where no one beats me and still they STILL use someone else who does not even offer what I was offering it boggils me! And I tell them hey, you know what we have been working together for a while now if another company says they can beat me let me know. And I will do my best to compete. But what do they do they never call? or let me know they just think I do not notice when the date we are suppose to have a show goes by without a show hmmm. And know one of my workers is telling me he does not want to work on a show I just booked because he wanted it! aaaaaaaaaaaaah and he is the only one avalibe to do it too f@#$!
Sunny day. I called in sick, and took the 348 out for a great drive! At this rate, I'll probably drive the company into bankruptcy if I don't get my "focus" back soon. I guess I really am sick. I got the car inspected for 2004 (it passed, no cats), and had a nice little zip through central North Carolina. Did a little engine-detailing too -- still not a Pebble Beach engine bay, but it'll work. After some wash, wax (not so happy with results), and about 6 hours of F-car therapy, I feel much better. I'm drunk with happiness and sound of a V8. Blah blah blah... sorry if I keep boring you folks with my rampant enthusiasm. P.S. If anyone would like to buy some Peoplesoft or J.D. Edwards software in the next few weeks, it'd go a long way toward my ability to keep ditching the office.
