    Last weekend, my wife and I began searching for a 355. We are traveling to so cal to look at a few cars as well (private seller and dealer). Our first choice is a 355 GTS 6-speed in the Red/Tan combo. GTB being a option. Unfortunately, the Spyder is out of the running (want to run it on the track some of the time).

    I have also searched the usual sites (duPont, FNA, EBay, Cars, AutoTrader, Hemmings) and see there is little in the way of GTS inventory. If you know of someone or a dealer that may have one for sale, I would be very interested to know.

    Yes - the GTS is more rare than any other model for the 355 lineup.. Should be a little easier going with Resell Corsa Red

    Well it is Christmas Eve and the hunt continues. I have a couple of possibilities I am looking at. If anyone has any info on the following that would be great.

    Well, we made an offer on the '98 355 GTS at Rick Case Luxe Collection in FL. They took it and the shock of being a Ferrari owner is starting to settle in. The car was serviced by Maranello Racing and they will be doing the 15K major and fixing a couple of items before tranporting it out.

    Just a note, thanks to Robert, Eric and Dave at Rick Case, they made the purchase very easy and recommended I call Maranello Racing for any questions I had on the car (which I did). Also thanks to Will at Maranello Racing for his help and time on this process.

    Hope to have pics up soon.

    Congrats on your new car. As the fellow owner of a 1998 Red GTS 6 speed, I know you'll enjoy your car.

    Mine had 16k miles when I bought it 10 months ago - I now have 22,300 miles on it.

    I see the car was listed for $84,900. Looks to be a good deal if you got it for high $70's low $80's since there are not too many GTS's out there, let alone red/tan combo. Hopefully the PPI checked out ok and some if not all of the service records are available.

    Now just the wait for the transporter to give you that call saying he will be dropping off the car in a couple hours...

    We did buy the car. The PPI checked out (done by Maranello Racing). We wound up getting the car below the list. Right now Maranello Racing is doing the 15k service and fixing a couple of items I saw when I checked the car out. If all goes well, it should be on a transporter heading to the west coast by the end of the week. The champagne is chilling for the arrival. Hope to take pics and load them up soon.

    FYI, if anyone is looking Wide World of Cars just listed 2 Red/Black '98 GTS's.

    you are correct- GTS were the least produced 355 made...
